The automobile has impacted the world by faster traveling, also making it possible to go farther distances. In this society cars are used to get around but to some people, it’s a way to get around, but to some people it’s a way to express them. From loud engines to hybrids, cars mean a lot more to people than just a way to get around. It has become much more meaningful to people. It has become of a person and how they express themselves. Khaotik crew is made of a group of friends who bought their cars and modified them. This is a closed crew so only close people and family could get in. Also you see how in the photo there is a Khaotik sticker right in the front of the windshield. Though there was nothing special about it to today’s human eye, back in the day it was what changed how everybody transported themselves from place to place.
Reader need to be familiar with the information because it hard to understand. Personally, for me it was harder to read than any other book I read. Readers need to be fully with both theory and all the information drawn from different rules that they need to follow in order to engage the whole with the narrative. This book discuss how Americans love for cars and how automobile used to be an important part of American identity. People who live outside the country may want to read this because it shows how cars became a big trend in American history. To assist, his readers, Seiler includes the following aid in his book: Index, pictures, timelines. Seiler include pictures in the book by having on page 53 showing women driving cars and making the automobile a fashion accessory in the late 1890. A man by the name of Gottliech Daimler produced what was known as the milestone car in 1889, this vehicle traveled at 10 miles per hour (Brown, 105). The 1920’s, also known as The Roaring 20’s, period was a time of fun, technological advancements, fashion, dancing, and luxury. One big advancement that changed transportation across the United States, was cars. Major car corporations that emerged in this era included Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler. These companies started to compete with each other, and they made prices more affordable to supply popular demand of the American people. As companies grew, they started to buy out one another to make up the biggest three American branches of cars. As cars became more popular, people used them as a sign of wealth and luxury.
