Montag went through hell and back just to save some books. He was fighting for what he believed in and he believed that books should’ve brought back into his society. So as you read the book, many types of characters will be portrayed and there will also be creatures, elements of nature, and different kind of objects that will be symbolic in their society. Montag went on a lot of journey, fought a lot of battles, mentally, emotionally, and physically. He also had undergone a lot of changes in his character in the midst of his battle with books and the society. There are a lot of incidents in the work that seem common enough for the actions to be considered symbolic. For example, one main incident that played a huge role in the book, is when Montag lost everything he had piece by piece. He lost his wife, his job, his house, and his mind. He was battling a lot of problems with books, his marriage, his home, his job, and his thoughts and he had finally reached his breaking point. Montage had burned everything piece by piece! “If there is no solution, well then now there was no problem, either. Fire was best for everything!” Montag said. What he meant by this is, what will be there to fix if there weren’t any problems? So why not just destroy them, now, there won’t be anything else I will have to worry about. The types of characters that appear in this novel are: determined, ambitious, and adventurous characters. The society was determined how to live their lives every day although; Montag’s ambition was to get society to start reading books. “Do you know why books such as this are so important? Because they have quality. And what does the word quality mean? To me it means texture. This book has pores. It ha... ... middle of paper ... ...he society being damaged by TV and books to be useless. Although the books and people have fallen victims to censorship, some people still sacrifice their lives to make sure that books remain alive. So all Bradbury did was create an eye opening novel, which was very interesting, that shared his fantasy and fiction to society. In conclusion, the novel was very brilliant, marvelous, and satisfactory. I liked how Bradbury created these characters that all played a huge role in the book. After Montag met Clarisse, he realized that he was trapped. So he went out to seek freedom and find out what was really going on. So to sum up, if we make the right choices and live with a purpose, society won’t be destroyed. Technology and TV will benefit us in every way. And it won’t be hard just to go sit at a library, find an interesting book to pick up and read it.
