Coaching Philosophy
Growing up, my grandparents always told me to respect my elders and others around me. They believe in disciplining their children and grandchildren. Hard-work and effort were two things my grandparents made sure I learned and applied in my everyday life. I was also taught to gain a qualified education that will help me maintain a job of my choice. My grandparents made sure I was on the right path to success. To me, success is accomplishing goals that you have set for yourself in life and being able to survive in this world in a high manner. Everything I have learned from my grandparents helped me develop my life philosophy, and I believe some these lessons are going to play a great part in my coaching philosophy. How I see my coaching philosophy as of right now, my athlete number one thing to do is gain an education, respect their surroundings and opponents, self-discipline, hard-workers, and most of know they will succeed.
Gaining an education is the most important thing to obtain, because without an education my athletes will not be able to go on to the next level well prepared or might not be able to play at the next level. Many coaches have told their athletes to get good grades or they will not play on the felid or court. Unfortunately, many have failed at this task, because too many athletes believe a C average is a good grade. To me a C average is barely making which in most school policy that is the minimum average an athlete can obtain in order to play. My athletes will be held to a higher standard, meaning if my athlete have a C average in any subject they will not practice. Instead, they will study for the subject he or she is struggling in and the makeup practice will be a great deal of running...

...There is another saying that practice makes perfect which I agree with, because the more you know something the better the results. As I said before, success to me is accomplishing the goals you set for yourself and being able to survive. On the felid, succeeding is dominating your opponent mentally, physically and emotionally regardless of the outcome, but winning would make the succeeding much sweeter.
My coaching philosophy will be well known by the athletes, school, parents, and community, therefore no one will be able to tell me how to coach at a high level. I know I might have to adjust as I learn the game more and be around certain people. I will make sure that everyone respects my authority over the athletes I coach, because I will not be considered as a dictator, but a coach that expects his athletes to learn and succeed on every aspect and level of life.
