There are many jobs out there that are fun, pay well, are interesting, and there are also some that require a great deal of skill. Although it doesn’t normally pass through peoples minds, but when they hear a commercial on the radio or when they’re watching a cartoon, the person behind that is, in fact, a voice actor. Voice acting is one of those jobs that takes a heap of skill in order to be successful and accomplished. There are many standards that need to be met to do even walla walla, a minor role, in a cartoon or a commercial or anything else that a voice actor is involved in. There are many other things that voice actors do that people don’t give so much as a second thought to. These things are mainly video games, cartoons, online book readers, commercials, narrators in movies, and many more. The voices of actors are all around in peoples daily lives, they just need to listen to realize that a voice actor is behind it.
A voice actors job mainly consists of persuading, informing, or entertaining an audience (“Voice-Over” para.1). There are many things that voice actors take roles in doing (“Voice-Over”para.3). Prelay is a type of work a voice actor does (“Voice-Over” para.5). This is when they work in an animated show/ films, video games, commercials, etc (“Voice-Over” para. 5). Audio digital reproduction, ADR, is another type (“Voice-Over” para. 7). They work in dubs for foreign movies and shows, also broken audio tracks for movies (“Voice-Over” para. 7). Narration is the last type of work a voice actor does (“Voice-Over” para. 10). They work in commercials, announcements, and documentaries (“Voice-Over” para. 10). With many actors they have an unstable job as a voice actor, so they may need another job in the meantime (“A...
