Career Options #2
One of the careers in Psychology that interests me would be working would be as a Clinical Psychologist. I have always found the brain very fascinating- there is so much that has yet to be discovered with the human brain, even through there have has been so much uncovered. I would also like to be a part of expanding the knowledge of mental processes in the brain, and hopefully come closer to being able to have a more complete understanding of the mental workings.

The next career I am interested in, would be working as a Therapist. I have not decided if I prefer to work with kids or adults, but regardless of age having someone impartial to be able to discuss your mental health with provides a service to the community. I feel this career contributes to having mentally healthy members in the community by reaching out to people on an individual level.
For this career choice I feel listening to others on a one on one setting would be one of the things that would be the easiest part of my job. Whether it be someone who is just needing to vent or someone who is having a tough time coping with life to just be there for someone in such a simple way. Unfortunately some people may need more than just someone who is there to listen to them, and not being able to help clients overcome their issues would be one of the hardest things to deal with in that job. In essence, my job would be to help, and if I am not helping, I am not doing my

In my head I think I have gone over tons of different degrees and career ideas and none of them seemed to really jump out at me. That was until I found Psychology it was very interesting to me and I found that I could be passionate about it. A Psychologist is a professional who studies behaviors and mental issues in order to help them cope with life. A Psychologist tries and diagnoses people who people might call crazy and in other words are unable to cope with day to day life. There are many types of Psychologist and one of them is someone who studies criminals and their behavior to get a better idea of how or why they committed a crime. They also make guesses based on the evidence at hand so they can try and recreate how the criminal committed

My specialization is to work as a therapist in a prison setting and provide social change to them and society. This all started to interest me is when I reflect on what I had learned through my own struggle in life. It then got me thinking about working with clients who have been misdiagnosed. With that said I see a career as a counselor in mental health can be both challenging and stimulating. I hope to continue to work in an area where I can provide counseling and have a positive impact on those I serve and contribute relevant experience and educational background to a challenging counseling position. The reason I choose this is because it fits my personal goal to help those who have struggled in making choices such as myself because either the lack of support through social or family influence. As a professional is to assist those in the prison setting find acceptance and closure to why they have done what they have done while conducting counseling sessions with prison inmates. Due to societies thoughts most of the inmates have had too little discipline or too much, they come fro...

Child Psychologists - I am very interested in the field of child psychologist, mainly because so many doctors, parents, and school officials only desire that children behave rather than wondering what is making them behave this way. I would love the opportunity to use my knowledge from health psychology, and other complimenting classes to help determine the reasoning behind behavior issues, social ineptness, and emotional needs that children with and without special circumstances deal with on a daily basis. I realize that in order to perform this type of job I have several more years of hard work and dedication ahead. However, I feel that the need is present and in our fast-paced world, it appears to be growing rather than leveling out.
A career in clinical psychology is one that will be promising for anyone seeking to pursue this career. A clinical psychologists’ educational training is a dead-ringer for success, if completed with a doctorate. A doctorate for a clinical psychologist is the best way to get ahead and have the upper hand in this field. A clinical psychologist’s salary is one that will be growing steadily along with the number of growing demands for psychologists. Anyone who chooses to pursue clinical psychology, that fits the profile for the job, will be set and secure. Clinical psychology is a bright career that I hope to someday enter into, following the pathway that my research has yielded; with that, I may begin my journey.
A clinical psychologist asses, diagnoses, and treats people with emotional and behavioral disorders. These type of psychologist can treat short term personal life issues, to long term chronic issues such as, depression, eating disorders, schizophrenia and others. Sadly, a in a world we live in today these are found most common to teenagers and young adults. Some psychologist focus only on certain ages, an example is some people work with children only, or the elderly. (bls.gov).
The career field I picked was Child Psychology. Child psychology is the study of how children act and behave. In general, a childhood psychologist might work with children and their primary caregivers in order to research, assess, and possibly treat developmental issues. Depending on his preferred area of study, a child psychologist will often work with all sorts of children. Not every child that a child psychologist works with is considered to be abnormal. A child psychologist might work with so-called "normal" children for several reasons.
The general practices of a Clinical Psychologist is to asses patients, diagnose disorders and recommend possible treatments. They integrate scientific theories, understand, and focus on intellectual, emotional, biological, social and behavioral adjustments. They allow people to vent and cope with their feelings while determining what exact type of treatment would best suit them and their emotional well-being. To become a Clinical Psychologist it can become a very difficult and distressing job and it may or can become overwhelming. However with the right patience and comfortable adjustments one can assess and help another cope with their mental instability.
I feel being a neuropsychologist will be very rewarding helping people with their behaviors in link to their brain function. I find the subject of the field mentally stimulating and insightful. I look forward to pushing through life to obtain my goals and dreams of stability for my family. I've always worked hard to earn what I got, and I have the ultimate motivation. I carry the knowledge I learn in college into everyday, hoping it to prepare me for the real world one day.
All through my sophomore to senior year of high school I knew that was what I wanted to do. Everything about psychology just intrigues my mind. I specifically would love to work with children, like I said I love them. Part of my goal is to become child and adolescent psychiatrist. To get there I will of course study hard in my major and strive to do the best I can. I will take lessons on how to interview professionally. It might be a difficult path and take a while to get there but I know it will be totally worth it in the end and I feel like that is where God is leading to be. I really believe that I am meant to help people and that is what I plan to do. I just really want to make an impact on a child’s life and be someone that they can talk to and feel comfortable with, because a lot of children do not get to experience that kind of safe place. So I would say that my professional goal is to help children more than anything else. But, if something changes about what I want to do with my life I will be very open to
The definition of psychology is as follows: “The scientific study of the human mind and its functions, especially those affecting behavior in a given context.”(Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, 1828) There are many fields of psychology an individual can go into, whether its clinical, forensic, or otherwise Psychology is a very broad field of scientific study that affects many aspects of our lives. There are people who study this science in schools, hospitals, private practices and more. This science also interests me as well. I have already taken psychology in my junior year, and I am currently taking AP psychology in order to gain some credits for college. The study fascinates me; the reason being that it explains our behavior and what makes us different from any other species on this planet. It goes in-depth of the analysis of humans’ greatest accomplishments and lowest behaviors. It turns our
According to my research, an entry level Psychologist earns around $30,000 a year, $2,500 a month ($30,000 divided by 12=$2,500) The following research predicts and plans how the money will be divided in order to live financially stable.
Have you ever wondered why a child or any human of mankind acts or thinks a certain way? When my teachers or others in general ask me what do I want to be when I grow up my first answer is always undecided. Therefore most of the time I respond with the answer of becoming a child psychologist. There are many different fields of psychology. Since my career is undecided, I just stick with becoming a child psychologist. I love little kids and helping when needed. If I manage to make it in this career then I will do it for the sake of my time being here on earth.
