1.0 INTRODUCTION Interest is one of the major factors that can easily influence one’s choice of career. Woodcock (2012) believes an interest is of such importance in people lives that it is the main influence on their career choice. Besides, one’s personality also plays an important role in one’s choice of career. Hence, choosing a career that fits your interest and personality is a vital step toward career well-being and success. In this writing, I will discuss about the findings that I have been able to derive from the administration of Career Interest Inventory developed by Lembaga Peperiksaan Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia to a year 6 pupil, including the interview that was conducted based on the assessment result. Moreover, discussion on the extent to which assistance can be given to the pupil in order to help her to fulfil the career interest and preferred occupation will also be included. 2.0 PROFILE AND BACKGROUND OF THE STUDENTS Sarah (pseudonym), a twelve years old girl from a National Primary School had consented to cooperate with me for task I that was given. I also had prepared a set of questions that I would use for the interview as a guidance on what to ask, in order to get further information and justification on Sarah’s choice of career interest. As usual, I started off the interview by asking how was her day and how did she feel coming to school today. I asked those questions to make herself comfortable talking with me throughout the interview session. After that, I told her the purpose of the interview to be carried out, so that she had a clear idea of it.
