Can a Romantic Movie Relate to Modern Romance?
Have you ever watched a movie about people falling in love? If so, you have watched a romantic movie. Romantic movies can be defined as a genre wherein the plot revolves around the love between two protagonists (“The script lab”, 2013). There are many romantic movies, but, the one that will be discussed in this essay will be the movie “The Vow”. So, how does this movie portray modern romance? These questions will help answer that question:

What is the Movie Description?
“The Vow” is a wonderful love story. It stars two wonderfully nice people who happened to be married for four amazing years. But, the problem is Paige cannot remember that she is married. The lovely couple (Paige and Leo) lives in Chicago. When Paige was younger, she got very angry with her parents and quit law school. She then moved into the city to go to the Art program there. Then that’s when she and Leo first met (“Rogerebert.com”).
After they got married, Paige sculpts with clay and Leo opens up an independent recording studio. Even though they do not make a lot of money, Leo still aims to make his studio a well-known, successful studio. But, on one specific night their wonderful love and dreams change (“Rogerebert.com”).

One snowy night, the couple was driving and they got in an awful car accident. Leo woke up in the hospital. While in the other part of the hospital, Paige was in a coma. But, when she wakes up from the coma, she thinks she is still the same girl that went to law school and cannot remember Leo at all. So, it is Leo’s job to get...

...s inspired by true events. Even though the movie does not have every single event that happened in Kim’s and Krickitt’s life, it still portrays modern romance. Also, it shows those whenever someone is in love, never give it up and cherish that person with all of your heart.
