Camaro SS vs Mustang GT
Ask any avid Camaro or Mustang fan about the original ponycar era, and you're bound to feel their pain. They'll describe cars that lit the tires on fire, floor it and hang onto the wheel excitement. When people utter the words, "American Muscle Car," two distinctive cars come to mind. The Camaro SS and the Mustang GT. Both of these cars have been around for generations and loved by all types of people. It has been only recently that both cars have battled head to head so fiercely. You are either a hard core Chevy fan or a hardcore Ford fan, most everybody picks either Chevy or Ford. There are many similarities and differences in both of these cars.
The Camaro SS has leaps and bounds of muscle car DNA. It's there in numerous ways: overhead valves, V-8, and a stick shift transmission to get you where you want to go, just like the Z28's and SS's of thirty years ago. No gizmo-actuated variable-valve timing, no overhead cams, and no independent rear suspension, just a 320 horsepower monster V-8. The SS turns 0-60 times in the low five second range with 0-100 approaching in the low thirteens. There has been little change in the SS's from last year to this. The addition of audio controls on the steering wheel, an optional 12-disc CD changer, new interior fabrics, and new alloy wheels (available on all Camaro's).
The Mustang GT is also a great "American Muscle Car." The GT produces a low but above average 260 horsepower, this will you...
for the Impala was the Super Sport model, more widely known as the SS. This
When the word Mustang comes to play, most people think of a very well known car, not only for its stylish aspects, but for a variety of reasons: cost, features, speed (probably best know fact), and all around good appeal. The Ford Mustang was designed to be a people car. In 1960 Ford engineers sought out to build a car that the average motor head would be able to afford but yet still have the edgy feel about it. Back at the time of its release, in the early 1960's, the Mustang did hold the advantage over General Motors. General Motors had no car out at the time of the Mustang's release to compete with it. As the years progressed, Ford and Chevrolet managed to out do one another with there monster creations of each car. One such creation by Ford is their 590 HP "Super Stallion." The car features a 590 HP engine which burns alcohol instead of regular pump gas. Jack Keebler noted from Motor Trend Magazine, "The way to a fast time is to launch this pony at no more than 1,600 RPM, gently feeding in the throttle as the big 265/40/ZR18 Goodyear's churn at the edge of traction. Full throttle is impossible until you're well into third gear, but its still one helluva hand full to drive" (40 - 45). That is the newest creation from the M...
The upside of owning a Chevy is that they are built on a solid structure, they have brisk acceleration, and they have great suspension. The Chevy in 2009 has a GMT 900 chassis, with its hydroformed frame rails, this setup is still a solid foundation, and it gives the Chevy an edge in pavement handling. The seats that they put in Chevys weren't comfortable in 2009. In the back seat in the Chevy you could fit 3 people but not comfortably because the seats in the Chevy aren't as big as the ones in Dodge or Fords. The Chevy truck would start to idle rough after about 75,000 miles, and the transmission shifted rough through the gears. Chevy wasn't the best selling truck in 2009 because of all its issues. In the Chevy their is not as much leg room. The Chevy did not have many accessories but it did come with a GPS. Chevy had many problems including the throttle body that failed often, the window motors would go out, the truck would not function properly all the time.Fords are better than Chevys for many different reasons and here are some of the reasons.
The hatchback became a successful model produced. Also they introduced a new line of pick-ups, the Chevy Silverado in 1988. Chevy sold more trucks than cars in this decade for the first time in the US. Also introducing the Tahoe, Chevy had more SUV success. Redesigning to the Camaro, Impala, and the new Chevy S-10 pickup, Chevy's continued to symbolize American vehicles. Chevy brought out restyled models of previous cars in the early part of the new century. After a brief period of not being produced the Impala came back in 2000 along with the highly anticipated return of the Camaro in 2010. Also, due to the Recession in 2007, Chevrolet built the Hybrid Tahoe, to increase fuel efficiency in SUVs. After more than 100 years Chevrolet and Durant could not have dreamed of 214 million cars by their company. Chevrolet has experienced much change over the past century. It has achieved multiple accolades that commonly go unrecognized. Some of these include winning the most NHRA pro stock manufacturers cups. Also in racing, it has the most victories in NASCAR along with the most championships. In NASCAR it has 738 victories and has won 38 of the 57 championships. Outside of racing, it was the first car company to include 4G LTE Wi-Fi in their vehicles, a long overdue technological advance in automobiles. In sales Chevrolet is the fourth automaker in the world. Chevy cars are in 130 countries and are on the road in
...est levels of sports car performance. As the first decade of the 21st century progressed, Chevrolet joined every other automaker in squeezing race track horsepower out of street-legal engines. The ZR1 Corvettes made during this generation were capable of speeds over 200 MPH, and cost over $100,000, so they were a bit of a change from the “cheap” car Corvettes were previously known for being. C7: The Return of the Stingray. Modern Corvettes are now achieving Ferrari racing status and power.Corvettes Are the Longest Running production Car Brand Ever. They are about $65,000 and usually look pretty nice. A really nice touch is that for an extra $800 you can drive your Corvette out of the Corvette museum with the staff clapping while you drive out.
Ask any ten enthusiasts what two cars epitomize the concept of an automotive rivalry and at least nine of them will instantly conclude the Chevrolet or Chevy Camaro and the Ford Mustang, two cars that make up part of a small automotive segment known as Pony Cars. These fire-breathing leviathans of the street snarl with guttural reverberations boastfully announcing their presence with the mere turn of key. For nearly five decades, these mechanical beasts have captured the imagination of the American driver and ignited the most contentious debate in automotive history: Which car reigns supreme? Muscle car buffs waste no time quoting sales figures, vehicle performance, track times, or even mundane statistics like vehicle dimensions or available colors to simply justify their support for one model over the other. As this debate rages on, the makers of these brutes fan the flames through targeted marketing strategies, consumer promotions, pricing strategies, and creative advertising all in effort to win an automotive war the likes of which have never been seen or fought before (Davenport, 2013).
It offers many options from a car/truck to a high performance race car. I liked the vehicle so much I bought a 1970 SS El Camino of my own and I have been restoring it for 2 years now. My plan is to get it back onto the drag strip and race. I kept the G body and a lot of stock parts, but the rear end and the heads and valve covers.
There are many different kinds of vehicles on the road, but the ones that stand out the most are muscle cars and sports cars. Their unique design and body styles will catch people’s attention wherever they go. The Ford Mustang, a high performing muscle car introduced in 1964, is the most notable muscle car on the streets. It is most known for its unique body design with a long hood and short, rear decks. Their high performing V8 engines make their exhausts have a really deep, loud growl. When you think of sports cars, the first that comes to mind is the Chevrolet Corvette. Its sleek body style paired with its ability to stick to the ground around corners, makes it a very notable sports car in America. The two most iconic versions of these
Reality based television has a broad landscape ranging from competitive game-like shows to programs following the daily lives of a group of people. Every major network now has some form of reality programming because the genre’s shows are high in viewership and require low costs for production. The genre is appealing to viewers because it provides them with a first-hand look into the lives of everyday people, which allows them to observe social behavior that helps them determine what is appropriate or not (Tyree, 2011, p. 397). Since the majority of modern reality stars start out as unknowns, frequent viewers of reality programming believed that fame is obtainable if they appear on a popular show (Mendible, 2004). According to Mendible’s evaluation of the genre in the article Humiliation, Subjectivity, and Reality TV, people enjoy reality programs beca...
...ng pubertal period and leads to the loss of around 40% of the synaptic connections in order to improve working memory and higher linguistic ability is taken too far leaving fewer synapses in the frontal and temporal lobes (Feinberg 1983). This is usually associated with abnormality in Glutamate and Dopamine transmission. It was previously reported that substance abuse early in adolescence such as the abuse of an antidepressant can induce schizophrenia in people and many drugs were already tested on animal models such as the Amphetamine and Phencyclidine PCP (Mouri et al. 2007), hence the idea of using Bromocriptine, a psychotic drug to induce schizophrenia in mouse models and by that proving that this drug can induce schizophrenia in people especially when it is administered early during puberty where abnormal neural changes might occur due to overuse of such drugs.
The Statue of Liberty or by it’s other name Liberty Enlightening the World is one of the most iconic objects in the known world as well as being the most noticeable and iconic structure in our country. This object, like I said prior is U.S.A’s symbol of Freedom. Lady Liberty (as many refer to her) is so amazing in mass amounts of ways. The statue is a great representation of the friendship between France and the USA back in the day. Over the years, the Statue of Liberty's symbolism has grown to include freedom and democracy as well as this international friendship.
The corvette was first introduced in January 1953. To experiment with the car, they only made 300 cars, which were all made by hand and powered by a 235-cubic-inch 6-cylinder engine. The corvette was designed to show the world that General Motors could make a sports car that was a stylish two seater. All 1953 corvettes were polo white with red interiors. The engine of the car generated 150 horsepower and had a 2-speed power glide automatic transmission. Researchers have found that the first corvette has been known to go over 150 miles per hour.
To make comparing easier, a 2004 Ford SVT (Special Vehicle Teams) Mustang Cobra and a 2000 Acura Integra Type R will be used as the comparison. The engine in the Mustang is a 4.601 liter, 280.8 cubic inch V-8 engine with 32 valves DOHC (Dual Over Head Cams), sequential electronic fuel injection, and an Eaton Generation IV roots-type supercharger, with a TTC T-56 6 speed Manual creating 390 break horse power at 6000 RPM and 389 foot pounds of torque at 3500 RPM. It has a 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds, a quarter mile time of 12.6 seconds at 112 mph, and has a limited top speed of 155 mph. The Integra has a B18C5, 1.797 liter, 110 cubic inch, 4 cylinders, 16 valves DOHC VTEC engine. It creates 195 horse power at 8000 RPM and 130 foot pounds of torque at 7000 RPM. It has a 0-60 mph time of 6.5 seconds, a quarter mile time of 14.7 seconds, and has a limited top speed of 135 mph.
I think that the target audience for these cars is the same. these cars are family cars. Both of the cars are designed to be comfortable and safe, they are not advertised to be fast sports cars. or stylish city cars; they are advertised as normal cars. In both of the adverts there is no real reference towards the performance of the car apart from in the Chrysler where there is a reference to the fuel.
Whenever world politics is mentioned, the state that appears to be at the apex of affairs is the United States of America, although some will argue that it isn’t. It is paramount we know that the international system is shaped by certain defining events that has lead to some significant changes, particularly those connected with different chapters of violence. Certainly, the world wars of the twentieth century and the more recent war on terror must be included as defining moments. The warning of brute force on a potentially large scale also highlights the vigorousness of the cold war period, which dominated world politics within an interval of four decades. The practice of international relations (IR) was introduced out of a need to discuss the causes of war and the different conditions for calm in the wake of the first world war, and it is relevant we know that this has remained a crucial focus ever since. However, violence is not the only factor capable of causing interruption in the international system. Economic elements also have a remarkable impact. The great depression that happened in the 1920s, and the global financial crises of the contemporary period can be used as examples. Another concurrent problem concerns the environment, with the human climate being one among different number of important concerns for the continuing future of humankind and the planet in general.
