Although the web designer may be the one to create and make the final touches, they often work with specialist graphic designers who focus on the artwork, layout etc. The project often has many cycles and is not complete until the client is satisfied. It can be a very demanding job with sometimes a lot of after-hours work in order to meet deadlines. Roles Responsibilities and Tasks It is the responsibility of the web designer to fulfill the tasks that they have been assigned or allocated by their employer or client. As well as the usual responsibilities of being at the work location by starting time, making appointments and being punctual. This however can be affected as web designers may need to move locations in order to meet with clients and plan. Planning may not take a single meeting therefore it is important that a web designer is flexible and able to be at said location multiple times a week in order to fulfill the requirements of the planning phase. The Roles and tasks of a Web Designer are to simply complete the task assigned. There is the aspect of knowing your audience and how to appeal to that audience through aesthetic appeal, however this is merely an aspect of which will be covered in the planning phase. What is not covered in the planning phase is the technicalities of actual construction such as the how’s and why’s of each function and its workings. Often the web designer will be involved in an iterative development process where they test the usability and flow of the website or mobile application whilst supervising users in a controlled environment. This sort of user testing allows the Website designer to see how users react to particular functionality and flows enabling the review of multiple approaches. This is part of an Agile development approach. Required Knowledge and Skills Most web designers will need to have a foundation in coding and different scripting languages, the most important being Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) as it commonly used and is also usually paired with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). There are other languages that get commonly used as well such as JavaScript, PHP and even Ruby. Photoshop, Flash, InDesign and Typography are also areas in which web designers should be fluent in, as these are used in the design and aesthetics aspects of the website. There is also the creative aspect of the job, therefore web designers should have an artistic touch to add to all of their creations as they can uniquely define a webpage or company. Attention to detail, adaptability and quick learning are some other very important skills that are required of a Web designer in order to be at the top of your game. Some of the more physical and social aspects of the knowledge and skill requirements of this job include being able to easily communicate with clients through not just face to face but also via online formats.
Meaning that it is very important to have sufficient social skills and to be capable of reaching locations where a client may be in the situation that they would prefer to hold meeting at the same location.
Training and Qualifications
To become a Web Designer, formal qualifications are sometimes not required, however can improve your odds of getting jobs in this field, although there is usually some informal training on site or short courses you may be required to complete off site. Some tertiary courses that are available to follow in order to become a Web Designer are; Bachelor of Information in Technology, Diploma of Website development and Graduate diploma of Information Technology just to name a few.
Career Pathway and Opportunities
Web designers can be employed by a company but can also be self-employed, however it can be better to be employed by a well-known and respected company is it makes your services easier to find when clients go searching for skilled web designers. There are opportunities within web design such as travelling to locations you would not normally travel to, developing successful, fun and interesting concepts and even eventually owning your own web design
business. Although there is not much overseas travel as an actual web designer, there are different areas of business if you were to choose to go into a company such as Project manager, Design director or design consultant. Some involve more solo work whereas some involve more social aspects involving communication and organisation of clients and employees, which allows for more options to suit what positions may appeal to you. The setting in both Lord of the Flies and I Only Came to Use the Phone contributes to the dehumanization of the characters in each of the readings. The settings are both isolated, which is the cause of all the chaos that takes place because when you take a human being out of the comfort of society, they go back to their natural animalistic tendencies in order to survive. Survival of the fittest is present in these quotes. Also, the island archetype plays a huge role in both of the stories.
In the captivating, mysterious, and perplexing novel Fifth Business by Robertson Davies, the role of women is not only a vital but a pivotal aspect throughout the life and psychological journey of Dunstan Ramsay. Robertson Davies is famous for under-developing female characters in general; not fully creating female characters the audience can entirely understand, discover and engage, at least not to the same degree with which he develops male characters. Although the portrayal of female characters is limited, their true purpose may be much more significant than it initially appears:

A designer must be able to understand what a consumer wants to be able to capture his or her desires. One must listen to the needs of his or her clients and be able to interpret that information into an original and unique design. Prospective designers must be flexible and must work quickly while paying attention to the details within their designs. A designer may have several projects at once and must be able to work diligently on these projects as to finish them in a timely manner, so as not to disappoint the customer. Despite seeming like a glamorous and easy career, majority of the time designers work long hours to make ends meet with their projects (Romano 64). A designer has to consider several thousands of different images and fonts to put into his or her work to make it more visually appealing to the customer. Designers consider the fonts, images, colors, and layouts to make sure that none of the items clash in a bad way. One must do all of this while also making sure not to intrude on any copyright laws. If a designer were to break a copyright law, he or she could be fined and sued for a very large sum of money. A designer could use pictures from public domain or even take pictures for themselves
Describe what a successful, effective web presence means for a professional in your chosen field. What might a prospective employer look for online about you? What kinds of information and what qualities might they hope to find? And what might you be expected to compose online in order to advance in your profession?
In our every day lives, we see all kinds of jobs. When you see someone working outside, in an office, or publishing books. But because of technology and paint supplies, those two items became known for two careers. Graphic designers are people who have experience with technology and do all kinds of jobs. Whether it’s working with a program/software, type-based design, using image and then type, or just by simply doing symbols/logos. Plus: Graphic designers can also make ads/advertisements for products and home items. Graphic designers do all kinds of interesting stuff and average graphic designers get paid over $42,138,000 for doing their jobs as their salary.
In order to explore careers in the field of art and design, a student must be prepared to become an art and/or design major. First of all, the student should focus on their specific talents and goals in their work, be responsible for their own development. Also they should always keep drawing to train their eye. Art students are always learning how to do this well, and getting a head start will benefit students. Along with that, they should always practice, not only in studio areas, but even observing someone else currently in their desired career. No level of knowledge or skill they can attain will be too high. Students, remember to see as much art and design as possible. Look at all historical periods and see original works. Client(s) may be in the first stage of our design thinking sequences (Archer, 1984, p. 67), and then the designer job is to explore what is the problem, what do we want, what do they need: to produce a design to meet the requirements. The initial design problem presented to the designer may be poorly and incompletely described (McDonnell, 1997, p. 45...

The most important task of developing and designing a web page is the gathering of information. You first need to brainstorm about what you would like the web page to consist of. Collect everything that you want to become part of the web page, from editorials and graphics to company information and history. It may be a good idea to get your hands on as much data as possible, and then decide what is to be used in the web page. Whatever material that you do not used may be discarded later. All information previously gathered is categorized in a hierarchy form from the most important to the least important.
Growing up, I strongly desired a career in the computer industry. I enjoyed working with almost anything related to the computer field, but I was not sure specifically which area of this broad field I would enjoy most. Though my interests were so extensive, I found myself strongly leaning towards computer graphics. I decided to pursue a career in web design, an area with a great demand for imaging skills, as well as a diversity and abundance of job opportunities.
You may be one of them who own one or more business, but do not have a website for them. It is perhaps because you have not yet realized the importance of having a website for your business.
