Britney Jean Spears was born on December 2, 1981. She is an American actress and singer. Britney was born in McComb, Mississippi and shortly after moved to Kentwood Louisiana and was raised there. Britney started in the entertainment business at a young age by having acting roles in children's television shows such as The New Mickey Mouse Club. From there, Britney expanded her talents and started her signing career in the late 1990's. Her original two songs were "Baby One More Time" in 1999 and Oops!... I did it again in 2000. These songs quickly became major successes, and she skyrocketed into the spotlight. After lots of hard work, she was awarded the record for having the best selling album by a teenager artist. In 2001, Britney released a widely successful album called "Brittney". As her name kept getting more and more known, she played the lead role in a movie called Crossroads. Because was internationally recognized as a pop icon her personal life was always out in the open. This caused a lot of chaos in her life and she started to behave erratically. Britney was sent hospitals as a involuntary psychiatric, and this went on and off for two years. She was sent to court and it was determined that she was to be put under a "conservatorship" or a law that gives all your money to your legal guardians and they control it. With Britney beginning to straighten up, she released her sixth album, circus. This album allowed her to have the title of the highest grossing global concert tours in 2009. After a year of hard work and more personal issues, her next album, "Femme Fatale" was released in 2011 which again was a great success.
