The Process of Making a Traditional Boar’s Head Italian Sub Many people think when making a Publix deli sub that it’s an easy process. What they don’t understand is that specialists have come up with specific recipes to perfect their sandwiches. It takes a special order of all the ingredients to make a sub worth coming back for seconds. As for associates in the Publix deli they have been taught from day one to make each sandwich by Publix standards. The products that keep our customers always satisfied are the award winning Boars Head products. From the cheese to all the tasty meats no one goes home unsatisfied. Boar’s Head Italian subs made by Publix associates are the best in town. The first step of making a Boar’s Head Italian sub begins with the bread. The traditional Italian sub consists of tomatoes, lettuce, and onions. With the bread, mayonnaise, meats, and cheese already applied to your sub. Now you add four tomatoes, then the lettuce, and finally the onions. Particularly a customer only receives four tomatoes, but all the other toppings are added with the amount they prefer. After you have applied all of your ingredients you now close up the sub. You take your knife and with it in one hand you neatly hold down your ingredients with that knife. While taking your other hand and closing the sub towards the knife. Finally, you take the knife out of the sub and cut it directly in half. After you have cut the sub in two you continue by wrapping both sub halves in separate sub papers. Followed by putting each wrapped half in a to go bag. Your final step is to put a price tag on the bag, and insuring the customer was satisfied with their
