Black reconstruction happened during the Civil War era. It was the beginning of equality. During this time period the slaves were set free. The blacks also starting having rights that they didn’t have before. This was a memorable period in time. During this time period blacks started getting the same rights as the whites. The blacks could vote. Voting isn’t the only thing that they could do. They also had the choice to run in office. They could go to school now.
