A Life of Science
I believe that science is the embodiment of production. Science is what allows us to explore our oceans, colonise the galaxy, and adjust nature to our needing. A biological technician works in a laboratory to perform experiments, and analyze data. I would function as a great biological technician because one must be proficient in a minimum of chemistry, physics, and precalculus, as well as being disciplined, observant, and analytical. These qualities are parallel with my own, and describe the work I would enjoy. In a like manner, this career is intriguing because I find science incredibly interesting, and foresee a successful future. Those who have the title of biological technician commonly use the occupation as a gateway …show more content…

The first of which being lab experience. This lab experience is essential because most of the work of a biological technician involves conducting experiments in controlled environments. Another requirement of this career is to have a master’s degree in either Molecular Biology, or Molecular Engineering. This can already seem unfathomably expensive, though. My plan is to leave the United States, and receive a superior education for a tenth of the price. Scandinavia has numerous colleges with a tuition less than $5,000 a year. Another likely possibility is Germany. Germany is known to have some of the highest quality of life, affordable and even free colleges, and the most educated people. Germany and Scandinavia have also been ranked the highest countries/regions for scientific innovation, such as nanoscience, environmental science, and many more. I can get a master’s degree in either Molecular Engineering or Molecular Biology for less than …show more content…

On one hand, this career will grow exponentially faster as people realize a global crisis of hunger is approaching. Similar to how programmers used to be heavy searched for, but now tens of thousands of people have become those jobs, draining the value of the occupation. A career in biotechnology will be the same, but drained even faster. For context, specific biotechnologists may genetically engineer crops for a greater yield. These modified crops are called GMO’s, or Genetically Modified Organisms. Large health food companies slander the idea of these in order to sell their own “healthy” product. As per these companies, the general populous now believes that GMO’s are harmful, though this has been disproved thanks to many large government organizations such as the World Health Organization, the FDA, Harvard University, and the American Medical Association. My greatest problem with career is convincing people that GMO’s are perfectly harmless, and more helpful in the end. I have hope that the health craze known as “organic” will end, and people will realize GMO’s are perfectly safe. If this plans ultimately fails, I can always become a computer scientist. Ever since I was little, I thoroughly enjoyed technology. Computer scientists will always have jobs, so I have a safety net to cushion my possible
