John Fitzgerald Kennedy, also more commonly known as JFK, was born May 29th, 1917. On this day he was well unaware that he was going to become the youngest president elected and the 35th president of the United States of America. He was unaware that situations would arise that would test him as a man, and of all the decisions he would have to make for the greater good of mankind. This paper will review the basics of Kennedy’s life, but analyze Kennedy through one of the more notable situations of his presidency, the Cuban Missile Crisis.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy, as noted before, was born on May 29th, 1917 in Brookline, Massachusetts, only one of nine children of the wealthy, well-known Roman Catholic Kennedy family.1 Joseph Patrick Kennedy, Kennedy's father, was a self-improving multi-millionaire who had built a financial empire through projects in banking, the stock market, shipbuilding and the film industry and liquor distribution.
