Anne Boleyn was the second wife of King Henry VIII. Most scholars say she was born around 1501 but they do not know if it is completely accurate. Anne Boleyn was the Queen of England for about three years. She did not want to be another of Henry VIII mistresses, and she eventually gained that respect. Their relationship is the essential reason for the break between the Roman Catholic Church and England. Boleyn had only one child, Elizabeth I, who was one of England’s greatest rulers. Anne Boleyn could never have a male heir to the throne which was the main reason for her downfall. The story of Anne Boleyn is heartbreaking; however, she had various achievements throughout her very short life.
Anne Boleyn grew up in a wealthy family. She was born in Norfolk, England. Her oldest sibling was her sister, Mary. She also had a brother named George. Her father was Sir Thomas Boleyn, and her mother was Elizabeth Boleyn. Sir Thomas Boleyn, her father, had a strategy to gain power and a good social status. She traveled to the Netherlands studying. Her father was very focused on them having a strong education. Many people said that she was known for her intelligence and beauty (Hardy- Gould). While she was there she and her sister were both ladies-in-waiting for Catherine of Aragon, King Henry’s wife at the time. During, King Henry VIII became very captivated by her. Boleyn did not want to be another one of his mistresses as her sister was. This is one of the reasons Anne and her sister did not have a favorable relationship. King Henry upgraded Anne’s family’s status and did almost anything to earn Anne Boleyn (British Broadcasting Company).

She became one of the most interesting and famous wives of King Henry VIII. Anne Boleyn had a major impact on England when she was the main reason for the beginning of the Episcopal Church. Anne Boleyn is one of the most fascinating queens in England’s history. Anne Boleyn was a very influential person, and one of the most important people in history. The story of Anne Boleyn is not only a dramatic turning point in England’s history, but also very mournful. Anne Boleyn is one of the most riveting, significant, and grievous of all of King Henry VIII wives.
