In the early nineteen sixties, John Fitzgerald Kennedy held the position as president of the United States. President Kennedy was very popular among the people, but because of his extreme principles and policies, Kennedy had some critics however. President Kennedy became a strong ruler of America in the sixties, which made individuals worried. As for one man named Lee Harvey Oswald, he thought the same. Oswald an ex-military sharpshooter had a plan of his own for Kennedy. On November 22nd of 1963, President John F. Kennedy was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald, from the 6th floor of the Texas School Book Depository (Wunsch 2). Although, people believe Oswald was accompanied by multiple assassins. This was later disproved by the Warren Commission. Many speculate that Lee Harvey Oswald was not a lone assassin, but much evidence points to Oswald being the lone assassinator of John F. Kennedy. Lee Harvey Oswald was born on the 18th of October, in 1939. Oswald’s youth in his early years was much troubled. Robert, his father died little before Lee was born (Reed 1). Growing up as a adolescent, Oswald saw many new step-fathers while living in bad circumstances. He wasn’t like any normal child though. He was sent to an orphanage, because his mother did not have time for him. This was a life changing moment in Oswald’s life, because he did not have the love and attention a child needs at that age. Eventually he and his family ended up in New York City. Oswald was sent to many doctors for his depression and being emotionally disturbed (Reed 1). Again his mother and brothers moved, but this time, back to New Orleans. Soon after finishing 9th grade, Oswald dropped out high school in 1954. ...general named Edwin Walker in April of 1963. His wife later told authorities about this attempted murder in a questioning with her. Oswald told Marina about this incident right after he attempted to kill Walker. Oswald moved his family down to New Orleans right after this incident (Simkin 2). Again, Oswald being interested in Communism, he wrote for the Fair Play for Cuba Committee. Lee created many copies of pamphlets encouraging United States citizens to join the committee. One day while passing out these handouts, Lee Harvey Oswald fought a man named Carlos Bringuier. He was arrested for this crime and sent to jail with a fine. After leaving jail, a few days later Oswald talked on the Bill Stuckey Radio Show about his issue of Fidel Castro (Simkin 2). Oswald’s return to the United States was not for good reason, especially his actions in the near future.
