Biodiversity loss can occur in many ways and this cause is very bad for the human , and the other species and the environment. These can lead down the surviving environment and mostly everyone living in that environment will suffer. There will be global warming, causing the earth to get warm and hot. Biological diversity, or biodiversity, is the term given to describe the number, variety and variability of living organisms and how these change from one location to another, and over time. Biodiversity includes diversity within species, between species, and between ecosystems. It provide the basic necessities of life to all human and other species. The impact of humans on the natural environment is significant and growing, causing changes …show more content…

First when there is biodiversity loss happens the habitats of many animas and plants get destroyed and many many animals and trees dies. And since there are also deforestation, many rivers and other water sources get polluted and when animals drinks it they get diseases. So people will get less food and short supply of water. They will get disease why they eat those animals and fishes from polluted rivers. Biodiversity loss can also cause climate change which is rapidly happening now everywhere. In the Arctic, it is not just a reduction in the extent of sea ice, but its thickness and age. Less ice means less reflective surface meaning more rapid melting and causes the organisms there to get extinct. There will be global warming caused by the loss of trees. All the fuel which is being burnt in the car and the volcanos produces large amount of CO2, CO, methane which gets trapped in the atmosphere. Some dissolves in the sea causing acidification and the others at the ozone layer lots of heat get trapped by CO2 and methane, causing the earth to get very warm. There will be less raining and the surface will become dry, water will be gone, and it will get very hard to grow crops and vegetables. So human will get less food and water, they will suffer from dehydration and …show more content…

Approximately 9 million types of plants, animals, protists and fungi inhabit the Earth. So, too, do 7 billion people. Two decades ago, at the first Earth Summit, the vast majority of the world’s nations declared that human actions were dismantling the Earth’s ecosystems, eliminating genes, species and biological traits at an alarming rate. This observation led to the question of how such loss of biological diversity will alter the functioning of ecosystems and their ability to provide society with the goods and services needed to prosper. Till now estimated about 75% of genetic diversity of agricultural crops has been lost. Around 75% of the world’s fisheries are fully or over exploited. Up to 70% of the world’s known species risk extinction if the global temperatures rise by more than
