Big air snowboarding is basically the Olympic athletes go down a large hill and off a jump. After they go off the big jump they do amazing tricks in the air. How they get the points, or to win you have to be able to do certain tricks. The judges decide by how many, or what tricks they do. To not get hurt or cold, they obviously need equipment, so one piece of equipment they use is a snowboard, with flexible bindings. They also need snow clothes, soft boots for landing, a very good helmet, and last but not least goggles to protect their eyes. To get points they need to do tricks, do you know what a grab or a double grab is? I didn't think so, a grab is when the rider grabs the front/back of their board in the air. the double grab
The freezing wind had chilled my hand to the bone. Even as I walked into my cabin, I shivered as if there was an invisible man shaking me. My ears, fingers, toes, and noes had turned into a pale purple, only starting to change color once I had made a fire and bundled myself in blankets like ancient Egyptians would do to their deceased Pharaohs. The once powdered snow on my head had solidified into a thin layer of ice. I changed out of the soaking wet clothes I was wearing and put on new dry ones. With each layer I became more excited to go out and start snowboarding. I headed for the lift with my board and my hand. Each step was a struggle with the thick suit of snow gear I was armored in.
Cross-country skiing is as much of a competitive sport, as it is a back country one. Cross-country skiing is enjoyed by people of all ages, and can be relatively inexpensive. There is no need for lift tickets and with a little maintenance equipment can last for decades. As a result of its broad audience, many people don't realize that physics plays a large role in cross-country skiing. This web page was designed to briefly describe some of the concepts behind the physics of skiing, and give a basic understanding of both the sport and the science.
Second, before hopping on the lift, you should become familiar with the parts of the snowboard. Always wear the right size boots, and make sure they support on your ankles. Wearing boots that are too tight can leave you with sore ankles or chin splints. After choosing the perfect boot, consider your choice of binding. The bindings are what clip your boots to the board. There are two different types of bindings. The clipping binding has a calf support in the back, and has two clips that snap around your boot. This type of binding is the safest. The other type of binding, the step-in, is made to just step directly on the board. This one has no safely clip or back support. It is less of a hassle, but most people do not feel as safe in them. I suggest the clipping binding, because I feel the extra support on my calves gives me more control. Once you have decided on the binding, choose your board. Snowboards are made customized. They vary in length and

Imagine being on the top of the world, on a bitter cold mountain, over top of an enormous crowd. Below where you stand, the lustrous lights are shining on a massive jump, that seems larger than the mountain itself, created for the professional snowboard competition. This gargantuan jump will decide whether you win or lose the competition. Becoming a professional snowboarder has been a dream to me ever since I first was beginning to snowboard. Being on top of the enormous slope and strapping into my bindings instantly made me relaxed and put a grin larger than the slope itself on my face. Everytime I glide down the face of the mountain I become focused and dialed in on my riding. When becoming a professional snowboarder as an occupation, I would
First, you will need a snowboard. Make sure that you also buy the boots and bindings, if they do not come in the same package with the board. You will need to dress in a comfortable, loose-fitting outfit to allow flexibility. Never disregard your safety. Gloves, goggles, helmet, and wrist guards are a must, especially for beginners.
In snowboard as in any other sport the athlete has to be thinking at all times, analyzing the situation that surrounds you, make split decisions, and even perform quick calculations in your head.

To most people not much to happen in 10 seconds but when it comes to roping calves 10 seconds is a lifetime. In that 10 seconds it feels like everything can go right or everything can go wrong. If everything goes right in that time then when 10 seconds comes the time could have already stopped and you already be back on your horse. If everything goes wrong in those 10 seconds then you could still be hung up in your rope or something else could go wrong and 10 seconds can not even be half the time it takes you to rope flank and tie.
That's why safety equipment is very important. There are a few safety essentials all beginners and even experts should have before they have their first wipeout. Such as a helmet. There are certain ones made just for skateboarding, and before anyone buys one they should make sure the helmet fits without being so loose it moves, or too tight it hurts their head. Also the straps at the end of the helmet should fit around the head and buckle.
