Bermuda, Miami, and San Juan (Bermuda Triangle).These are the 3 locations that make up the “Devil's Triangle” also known as the Bermuda Triangle in the Atlantic ocean. In this area, many unexplained disappearances from military and commercial aircrafts, to large cargo ships and small yachts has many people and scientists wondering, is this supernatural phenomena? Forces of nature? Over-exaggerated stories? No one knows for sure. Many of these disappearances happened without warning, no mayday calls or signals of distress, and leaving no trace of existence or wreckage behind. These events involving the Bermuda Triangle can be linked to an extremely powerful electromagnetic field over the area.
Hundreds of “vanishings” of airplanes and ships have occurred throughout the years. “the enigma is that more ships and planes disappear in this area in fair weather for no readily explainable reason.”(Quasar, Introduction). One of the most popular unexplained departures would be the mystery of Flight 19. December 5, 1945, at 2:10pm on this day 5 Avenger torpedo-bombers took flight from their Naval Air Station base in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on a routine training mission. Their route would take them directly through the Devil's Triangle. An hour and thirty minutes into the flight, Lt. Charles Taylor (mission leader) reported that his compasses were malfunctioning. “‘The ‘Bermuda Triangle’, or ‘Devil’s Triangle’, is a mythical geographic area’, states a fact sheet issued by the U.S. Coast Guard” (Gaffron 17). One of the most influential groups in the United States believes that the Bermuda Triangle is only a myth. “Most rational explanations for the incidents in the Bermuda Triangle, including the explanations given by the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard, include human error and environmental effects” (Obringer). The U.S. Navy has lost quite a few ships in the Bermuda Triangle region and believe that the reason behind those disappearances involved either human or technical difficulties. “Plane ditchings or explosions in flight may result from many causes; lack of visible evidence being explained by the truism that ‘It’s a big ocean’” (Berlitz 6) The reports from the people that actually lost lives believe in that something bad but normal happened which is a sound explanation for the

Many eyewitness accounts with similar details eliminate the possibility of merely a single person making up the entire event. The government’s contradictory reports demonstrate that their knowledge of the incident is dynamic and dependent on how they want the people to react. This matter is important because it raises the possibility that if the government is hiding information from the public about a spacecraft accident, there may be other incidents where the government is concealing the truth from the public. Despite the government’s best attempts to cover up the Roswell incident, eyewitness accounts from the common person validate the idea that an unidentified flying object crashed in Roswell, New Mexico and eternally changed the lives of several people.
This paper will prove it will remain unknown if the Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) crash sighting at Roswell, New Mexico on July 4th, 1947 did happen, although the government is hiding Extraterrestrial information there. The following is a list of terms that may become confusing to some readers.
The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil’s Triangle, is the cause of many unexplained disappearances that happened within its boundary. One of the many mysteries of the triangle is Flight 19. Five Avenger planes vanished without even a single trace. What happened to Flight 19, did aliens actually abduct the planes? Or is there another explanation as to how they disappeared?
The light cruiser ship called the “USS Birmingham” was readied Norfolk, Va, with a wooden platform attached to it. The platform was approximately 80 feet long. The plane Eugene Ely was flying was called the Curtiss D-III Headless Pusher which was equipped with floats under the wings. Ely barely succeeded from taking off the ship. He rolled off the platform and kind of skipped on water which damaged the propeller, but he was able to pull through. Ely was able to stay airborne for 2 and a half miles to land on the nearest island called Willoughby

“In total, six airplanes and 27 men appear to have vanished” (How). On December 5th of 1945, five U.S. Navy bombers went missing without a trace of why. Later a rescue plane was sent to search for the plane and the survivors, but those planes disappeared as well. That incident is one of the most famous and well known disappearances in the area (How). The Bermuda triangle is an area in the Atlantic Ocean which many people believe mysterious disappearances have taken place. It reaches Puerto Rico, Florida, and Bermuda in a triangle shape that covers approximately 500,000 square miles (History). The mysterious disappearances in the Bermuda triangle are myths as evidenced by people who travel the area safely every day, there is no scientific proof of the mysteries, and there are scientific reasons why people have disappeared.
There are evidently many interesting theories concerning the Bermuda triangle as mentioned before. A rational theory would have to be the classic human error. It would appear safe to suggest that many of the strange occurrences concerning the so called “Devils triangle” would be miscalculation of human information.
Flight 19 was the designation of five TBM Avenger torpedo bombers that disappeared over the Bermuda Triangle on December 5, 1945 during a United States Navy overwater navigation training flight from Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale, Florida. All 14 of the airmen on the flight were lost as well as the 13 crew members of a PBM Mariner flying boat of professional investigators which is thought to have exploded in mid-air while searching for the flight. Navy investigators could not determine the cause of the loss of Flight 19 yet many researchers argue otherwise claiming that there is a specific cause for the disappearance of Flight 19.

The Bermuda Triangle is a whirlpool of mysterious occurrences where things have magically disappeared without any remains and no matter how many theories scientists come up with to solve the mysteries of this enchanted island, none come close to having answers for any incident that occurred on this island. On November 3, 1945, the Bermuda triangle first grasped the attention of many people with one mysterious event. Flight 19, an aircraft which was out on a 3 hour training session, fully fueled and equipped with five highly experienced aviators, went missing and was never to be heard of again (McDonell of 9). The three hour training session started in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and was due 150 miles east, 40 miles north and then was told to return to the base; unfortunately that did not happen (McDonell 1 of 9). During the training session, the aviators both back up compass and compass malfunctioning, making their locations a mystery to them and lost to the world for two hours.
