Bermuda, Miami, and San Juan (Bermuda Triangle).These are the 3 locations that make up the “Devil's Triangle” also known as the Bermuda Triangle in the Atlantic ocean. In this area, many unexplained disappearances from military and commercial aircrafts, to large cargo ships and small yachts has many people and scientists wondering, is this supernatural phenomena? Forces of nature? Over-exaggerated stories? No one knows for sure. Many of these disappearances happened without warning, no mayday calls or signals of distress, and leaving no trace of existence or wreckage behind. These events involving the Bermuda Triangle can be linked to an extremely powerful electromagnetic field over the area.

Hundreds of “vanishings” of airplanes and ships have occurred throughout the years. “the enigma is that more ships and planes disappear in this area in fair weather for no readily explainable reason.”(Quasar, Introduction). One of the most popular unexplained departures would be the mystery of Flight 19. December 5, 1945, at 2:10pm on this day 5 Avenger torpedo-bombers took flight from their Naval Air Station base in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on a routine training mission. Their route would take them directly through the Devil's Triangle. An hour and thirty minutes into the flight, Lt. Charles Taylor (mission leader) reported that his compasses were malfunctioning. He became confused as to where they were and did not follow recommendations from other students on his team to change course (The Bermuda Triangle, p.2)As the night rolled in, and the planes fuels had to be running low, the last transmission received from Flight 19 was at 7:04pm.
