It is said that history always repeats its self, and it is still valid to this day. Furthermore, society will always have the protagonist and the antagonist in any situation that takes place. Ordinarily the protagonist is usually the individual that doesn’t have much to offer but their loyalty and leadership, and in my eyes that’s way more valuable than gold. As individuals we should strive to embody those characteristic traits. Which leads to speak on Beowulf who lived in the Anglo-Saxon time and why he is my favorite character. Nonetheless, whenever there was an issue he is always there to aid his fellow man. Beowulf went through a lot of trails and tribulations as most heroic figures go through. He always fulfilled his task/journey/battles accordingly and surpassed his victory with each passing time. His opponent can be big or small, but he never backs down. For instance, his battle against Grendel, which he defeats the creature. Although Grendel appears to have the upper hand due to the fact that the creature is more powerful, Beowulf doesn’t back down. When Grendel’s mother seeks revenge he also defeats her despite her being even more power than her son Grendel. Each task he’s asked to fulfill, he completes them without
