Some people ask the question today on whether they should go vegetarian? They wonder will it be beneficial or give them problems. However, in today’s society there are people who are going vegetarian. Although there are many benefits to this diet, not everyone wants to follow this same type of eating habit. While most people recoil at the thought of following a vegetarian diet, the benefits of such a diet include increased health, decrease in the amount of money spent on food, and a reduction in the slaughter of animals. If more people would make a decision to follow a vegetarian diet they wouldn’t have to face the consequences of these different problems.
The amount of animals living is decreasing because of people that don't apply a vegetarian diet to their lives. Jih states in his article, "Not every person who follows a vegetarian diet will automatically enjoy all the health benefits, because it is possible to have an "unhealthy" vegetarian diet" (Jih web). All vegetarian diets aren't healthy because some people don't have enough discipline to stay away from sweets and other food products that consist of fat. Another disadvantage of being a vegetarian includes not getting the vitamins and nutrients that your body needs. Plants contain soluble and insoluble fiber. This is not beneficial to humans because insoluble fibers don't dissolve in water causing them to travel through our digestive system in their natural form. This can lead to cramping, constipation, and bloating. Therefore, vegetarians should look out for these disadvantages so their diets will continue to be
