In today 's United States, thousands of immigrants come from the prospect of seeking a better life with hopes and opportunities for themselves and their family. They also are trying to flee their war torn countries such as my parents from the Vietnam War. America has a lot of opportunities that many other countries citizen’s aren’t entitled to. These immigrants want what their former country didn’t have, such as the freedom of speech, liberty, religion, peaceful assembly and etc. Since every ethnic group in the U.S was an immigrant except the native Americans, everyone should be allowed the right to immigrate to the United State legally because we are a nation founded by immigrants. How can an immigrant from a foreign country take your job when they have limited knowledge in English. I’ll use an example from my uncle, when he came here no one wanted to hire him because his knowledge in English was limited. Despite the fact that he had a great education in Vietnam it wasn’t valid here in America. He had to go to community college and start all over again as he built up his English skills. Although he did have a labor job working as the dishwater it wasn’t enough to make ends meet to support my mother. Immigrants do not steal jobs from citizens instead they help create new jobs. In reality immigrants help build the U.S economy by creating new jobs. So how can immigrants be taking people’s jobs? If immigrants come they would spend more money on stuff for that reason there will be a higher demand for items so they’ll probably hire more people to meet the demands of the immigrants. When money is being spent, it helps build the U.S economy. Immigrants are more likely to start businesses than american citizens they help hire new people, which helps the economy, which helps employ an estimated 4.7 million citizens
