‘’Digital Learning’’ – Creating a History in the Field of Education
Learning has seen a major transition in the recent decade. From years, students have been using only textbooks for their study, which actually made the entire learning system boring. Today, printed textbooks have been replaced by Digital learning software. Students are now using laptops instead of textbooks. While students are embracing technology, which has made learning more fun for them, and parents are happy that their children are finding learning interesting, and thus performing better in their academics, digital learning has become quite popular among teachers as well. Today, we see that schools and colleges are introducing eLearning as one of their core forms of learning methodology.
Digital learning has several benefits, which are highly unlikely to be found in a typical age old classroom setting. This is only because, it is powered by technology, thus offeringattractive benefits.
Personalizedlearning method:Digital learning can be easily customized by teachers, according to a class’s need and every student’s need. Based on student’s strong and weak areas, the learning method adopted for each student can be different, suiting their requirement and goals. With this facility, teachers can bridge existing gaps for each student, and help them in achieving their

As a result, eLearning companies are enormously depending on Digital publishing solutions, in order to offer the best digital learning experience to students and teachers. Vowing to this trend, even the smallest of digital publishers, have become renowned companies today. At the same time, demand for interactive content have shot up to the greatest heights. Content writers, editors, and proof-readers with good academic knowledge have become the most valuable employees offering high ROI to digital
The “learning is fun” motto which has been declared for centuries is still true today. Although particular subjects are not so interesting, there is always a way for the educator to make the topic appealing. The Internet websites, interactive games, video clips, presentations, and animated cartoons are coupled with facts and taught daily. This is the chief technique in which many teachers educate their students. The standard lecture is somewhat considered outdated, while this “new” manner of teaching has become the modern tendency. During a debate on PBS, Damon Moore stated the following: “The computer is a perfect tutor.
The topic of this Rogerian argument is that teachers and professors need to allow students to use technology as a way of taking notes if they chose. If students are restricted to only taking notes with paper and pen, then students who learn better with the aid of technology will be at a disadvantage. The audience for this argument is a very specific person; Philip Pope, a high school civics and economics teacher will be the audience of this rogerian argument. Philip Pope is a teacher who will not allow technology to be used in the classroom and requires that all notes and assignments are recorded on paper. This Rogerian argument will be presented as a monologue intended to be spoken to a board of
Productive learning is when a student is educated or trained and becomes someone that contributes to society. Meaning that it benefits both the student and the community. The goal is to invest in a person in order for them to then use their knowledge and skills to give back to the community. First a child goes through years of general education which is usually from preschool until twelfth grade in High school. After high school, one could attend college or a trade school in order to develop their skills in a specific area. An internship or apprenticeship could be part of the training as well so one could obtain hands on experience in real life situations.
The statement given by UK Department of Education reinforces the fact that in the digital world today, technology has become an important component of our society by convincingly improving in major areas such as medicine, entertainment and finance. The large use of this technology has also had a considerable impact on education, and will certainly have an effect on the type of teacher I will become. This is because teachers have become more reliant on digital technology that will continue to increase throughout the future.
It is, first and foremost, important to realize that learning is a continuous process; right from childhood all the way to adulthood. It is therefore important that we characterize the extent to which the digital age has transformed learning into the following subdivisions; its impact on learning at ...
Erin Millar wrote an article called The Pros and Cons of Digital Classrooms. In her article, she states the different opinions of many people on technology in the classroom. This article is shown in Opposing Viewpoints In Context. After evaluating this article, many opinions were made by credible people, but not enough facts were shown to support them. Also, Millar also demonstrated strong emotional appeal in her piece, and lack of definitions for the difficult words she chose to use. The impact from all of this information has resulted in many advantages and disadvantages in how children communicate in the classroom. This article concludes whether or not digital technology can be a beneficial use in school districts as shown by the sources the author used.
Do you ever think about how much technology has changed the way we work, learn, play, and even think? Technology is a major beneficiary to society; especially in the classroom where we get the opportunity to learn and grow. In recent years, schools have begun implementing tablets and other devices in the classroom to better student’s education. The use of technology in the classroom provides more of a personalized learning experience and gives students a widespread availability to engage in learning. Technology is necessary in today’s modern globe, it is basically “the pen and paper of our time and the lens through which we experience much of our world” (Warlick, 2013). Technology is not just considered the “internet”, it is so much greater than that. Overall, it enhances the quality of education and engages students deeper than ever before. With all the significant gains, why would people argue that technology hinders students more than it helps? Critics may try to repute the use of technology in the classroom but I believe what really matters “is the way we use it, the context that we use it in, and the learners who we use it for” (Chong, 2012).
Furthermore, the learning process is easily enhanced when technology is used. First, with Internet access in each classroom, it allows the teacher to access massive amounts of information in just a few seconds. This information can be given to the students in a clear, easy to read format as it is projected onto the screen. With such easy access to information, students are able to learn more in a smaller time span, while teachers are able to be more efficient in how they teach. This makes the education a person gets from their school more valuable for their money; and money is important as college costs continue to rise.
In less than a decade, computer use progressed from programming classes for a few of the better students, to literacy classes for all students, to the integration of computers and technology into the curriculum. Now, there is a goal for educators to use technology as a tool in efforts to teach more effectively by using a variety of strategies to meet different needs in a diverse classroom. This will take training and commitment to keep up in an area that changes quickly, but the benefits to teachers and students are greater that the effort it will take to stay informed; computers increase productivity of students and make learning a fun experience. They help students become better problem-solvers instead of just rote learners.
Modern technology has made it so much easier to obtain educational information for classroom or homework assignments. It offers educational games that stimulate the brain and help children who have difficulties focusing on traditional teaching and learning procedures. College students are even taking advantage of online courses that many colleges are offering as an alternative to physically attending classes. Advances in technology and computers will continue to play an important role in education for many generations to come.

There are many advantages to online learning, it affects the way people can learn. According to “Effects of Technology on Classrooms and Students”, “students have a greater willingness to write or work on computational skills”. “They say student like the immediate results of having online learning.” Another advantage is that students can learn at their own pace. With learning at their own pace they will be able to actually know the information well. If, they are in a regular classroom setting they may no...
Technology has had a large impact on the field of education. The proliferation of multimedia resources and limitless amounts of information available through the Internet has fundamentally affected the learning process. Students no longer search through cards and stacks for magazine articles; almost everything is at the click of a finger. Multimedia resources are increasingly utilized in the classroom to help instruct students. Some professors are making conscious efforts to use new technology, so as to introduce and familiarize their students with it. The significance of technology in education is now being elevated to a new plateau. Education through the Internet, the great equalizer, may make it more widely distributed through the phenomenon of online courses. It is the thesis of this paper that online courses are not an effective means to educate traditional undergraduate college aged students (people from 18-22 years old).
students prefer technology because they believe that it makes learning more interesting and fun. They especially like laptops and tablets. Subjects that students deem challenging or boring can become more interesting with virtual lessons, through a video, or when using a tablet. Technology occupies an important place within students’ lives. When they are not in school, just about everything that they do is connected in some way to technology. By integrating technology into the classroom, teachers are changing the way they used to teach (lectures six hours a day) and providing students with the tools that will take them into the 21st century. One of the characteristics of the modern classroom is collaboration and technology helps to empower it. With classroom technology students can collaborate with other students and their teachers in and outside of the classroom quickly and easily.
Technology properly used in the classroom has many advantages to a student’s learning. Technology can help students become more involved in their own learning process, which is not seen in the traditional classroom. It allows them to master basic skills at their own rate rather than being left behind. Teachers and students alike can connect to real life situations by using technology in the classroom; this can also help to prepare students for real world situations. Technology can be used to motivate students as well as to offer more challenging opportunities. It can also be used as a visualization tool to keep students interested in the subject that is being taught. When technology is used effectively, students have the opportunity to develop skills that they may not get without the use of technology (Cleaver, 2011). Assessing and monitoring students is easier on the teacher because of the ability to use technology in the classroom. When technology is used correctly it offers limitless resources to a classroom atmosphere.
