One of Charlie Brown quote that resonates with me is "it's not what's under the Christmas tree that matters; it's who is around it with you". Christmas is one of the most cheerful holidays and for me it is a wonderful feeling as it brings feelings happiness, joy, love and friendship. Although, my family drives me insane at time it is always good connecting and bonding with them, especially if I have not seen them in a while. The sense of belonging provides me with security, acceptance and love. Being with family on Christmas creates a legacy and tradition of my own. While they are cutting and cleaning the meat, I sat and watched movies or play video games. As soon as they are done, I drove my grandmother's home so she can cook the meat in her home. On Christmas day the first thing we do is pray, we give thanks to God for his blessings and to be alive to see another Christmas with families. The Next thing we do is open our gifts from one another. My sister is always the first person up in the morning; she was excited to give us our gifts. When it’s time to open our gifts, my sister will not allow us to do anything else, not even to have breakfast, her gifts will always come first. Her gifts are very thoughtful as she pays attention to things that we desire and really like. Afterwards, my sister and I return to our rooms, while we are in bed, my mother would then proceed to prepare breakfast. Breakfast normally consists all of our favorite’s tea, porridge, cereal (cinnamon toast), ackee and salt fish, eggs, bacons, fried plantains, fried dumplings, fresh bread, fresh fruits, breadfruit and French toast.
