Belle Starr “I regard myself as a woman who has seen much of life.”Belle Starr was an American outlaw. Whenever Belle shot her two pistols they make the sound of boom boom. She was born on February 5, 1848, Carthage Missouri. She also had a daughter named Pearl Starr and the father was John Reed and a son named Eddie. Her next husband was Sam Starr and then the rest of her family was Elizabeth Pennington Shirley is Belle’s mother, John Shirley is her Father and Jim July Starr was her last spouse. Belle Starr's full name was Myra Maybelle Shirley. When Belle was a child she grew up on a small farm in Carthage Missouri. She had an education in all the classics and became a competent pianist. She was convicted of horse theft in 1883. As Belle was an adult she had three husbands throughout her lifetime. You don't want to go near Belle because she is worse than smoking a cigarette. Belle played the role of a “Bandit Queen” for several years. In 1883, Belle and Sam were convicted of stealing horses and spent 9 months in jail. Belle was arrested twice more, but never convicted and Sam Starr was killed in 1886. Since then, Belle went on to live with Bill July in Cherokee land. When July was arrested for horse theft Belle didn't defend him. Some of Belle’s most famous crimes were horse theft and stealing money. She went to jail three times, but was only convicted once. Belle also harbored criminals in her home with Sam Starr like Frank and Jesse James until Sam died. Belle was known as a felon for all of her despicable crimes. When Belle saw someone to kill she acted like a raccoon when it saw trash. Belle would be around 167 years old today. She was shot and killed on February 3, 1889, near Fort Smith, Arkansas just before her 41st birthday.
