Jeremiah 29:11 says: For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. This quote says to me that God already knows what is going to happen in our lives. We should strive to remain positive and be our best while on the roller coaster he has built for us. In order to be our best, we must lead through being a good moral example, being dependable, and remaining unique as we shine in the community. Everyone was put on this Earth for a special purpose. By being true to ourselves and God, we will discover his purpose for our lives. We should be leaders in the community by being good role models, someone that can always be watched as an example for how to handle situations. You should always be a person that is there to give advice or just be there for support. Being there for your friends or people you come in contact with everyday is what makes you stand out from everybody else and makes you a great person. Being a good role model is important because you never know when someone is watching, and you might be th...
...hat share my faith and together worship Jesus. I believe that by being in fellowship with other believers I will have a strong opportunity to pursue and fulfill God’s purpose in my life, whether it is a daily or lifetime calling.
We were designed for one purpose, to honor and love our creator (Matthew 6:24). When we look at ourselves, and others we find that we each have individual humanistic characteristics. Each with different thoughts of how we perceive God and what we think he wants from us. By using our talents and gifts wisely and just we are giving praise back to our creator (1 Timothy 6:17).
become and better follower of the Lord but more importantly then that a better being as a whole.
God has created me with a specific purpose and with God’s help I know I can discover my true calling. Every one of us has three specific callings:
Predestination, in the dictionary, is said to be "the doctrine that God in consequence of his foreknowledge of all events infallibly guides those who are destined for salvation." Scripture has 2 very good passages for defining what predestination is: Jeremiah 1:5 which says "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." God is talking about Jeremiah in this passage and how God chose him before time; he was predestined for his job. Romans 8:28-30 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called them he also justified: and whom he justified them he also glorified." This passage speaks about God's ultimate omniscience concerning our predestination and how we would react to the message of God's Word.
“What’s a motto? Nothing, what’s a motto with you?” Have you ever seen the Lion King? Then again, who hasn 't seen it? I grew up watching the Lion King movie as a kid, and as I grew older I learned to understand the values behind the movie. Everybody has their own interpretation of the message Lion King delivers to them. I learned how the movie impacted society in all positive ways through its cultural or religious themes, however it depends on how you yourself grasp the concept. I learned that we are put on this earth for a reason, and everybody has a purpose. I have learned that we choose to fulfill or take the route for what is best to fulfill this purpose is entirely up to you. It may take time to perfect it, but it is yours to claim.
Everyone has a different perspective on life, it can help shape how I live my life, and how I perceive things. By thinking positive, and tuning out some of the negatives in my life, I can further succeed on my path to achieve my dreams. By listening to my heart, which continuously tells me what I truly desire in life, and not listening to society and other people’s opinions, it helps me get that much closer to finding out what my goal and purpose is. If we are really focusing on persevering, and not only using the tools and resources we are given, but finding and creating new ones to help guide the way for us, we can truly find what we desire. I believe that we all have a purpose that is unique for each and every one of us, and if we try hard
Our main goal is to present everyone fully mature in Christ. (Col. 1:28) we warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. (1 Th. 5:14-15) We pray for them (Jam. 5:13-16) and help them to recognize and repent for their sins. (Matt.
The Bible is full of instructions as to how God wants his people to live. It speaks of our relationship with God himself, the place of prayer and his word in our lives, and how to grow in that relationship. It talks about relationships in the home, relationships with other believers, how we should treat our enemies, our attitude to our authoritative figure and employees, what we should do with the gifts God has given us, the virtues we should seek to develop in our characters, our attitude to material possessions, and how we should regard this life in relationship to the next. We don't require any special guidance to find out God's will about these things. All we need to do is read the Bible regularly and prayerfully and seek to obey the things that God teaches us from it. Much of God's will has already been made plain. God gives us the Holy Spirit for the very purpose of enabling us to obey.
We’ve all heard cliches like, “God has a wonderful plan for your life,” “the safest place to be is in the center of God’s will,” “don’t do your will, do God’s will,” or if someone asks if you’re gonna have something like a job or children in the future and the response is “if God wills.” Have you heard those before? We hear of God’s will for our lives and it sounds so nice like a basket of easter eggs. We believe God has made this specific plan for our lives out of love for us. So we look forward to the day that we discover this plan design especially for us. But then we start trying to find it and it doesn’t seem easy at all. We think overtop God’s will is hidden from us. It seems mysterious or elusive, so we pray, asking God to reveal it to us. And we listen for God, we wait for Him to speak. We w...
I truly believe that every single person in the world has a purpose in life. God created each and every one of us for a reason. Whether we know it or not our life is planned and we follow a path throughout our life. In this path, we have the option to make good decisions or bad decisions. In order to achieve salvation and enter a virtuous after life we had to do deeds that had a positive impact on other people. In order to do this though, one must have the self-discipline and devotion to God. There are many obstacles that can get in the way of achieving this goal and the main one is our desires. Desire is a strong feeling of something we want or wish to have. Our desire negatively impacts our life because it detaches our body both physically and emotionally from our mind which then influences us to make morally wrong decisions.
I met Carrie my junior year of high school. We did not become friends instantly but gradually over time we started to talk. I was friends with her boyfriend at the time and always was there to talk to him and help him during lunch with any situation that would come up. He always came to talk to me about what was happening in his relationship with Carrie. I tried to give him as much advice as possible without knowing who Carrie was. There was one instant where Carrie was supposable pregnant but would later find out it was a false alarm. They were on and off half of the year, but something would change everything.
The experiences that we go through in our lives happen in a way that God has planned out from the beginning. The order that these happen helps us to meet our objectives when the time is right. Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us that, “There is an appointed time for everything. And there is time for every event under heaven--.” God has put things in order for us, and even though they might not happen in our time, we need to remember that we may have to wait until God’s time. Finally, God is about to look at our lives and evaluate whether or not the objectives have been met. He puts trials and tests into our lives and looks to see how we will respond to them. When we keep in mind that Christ always needs to be at the front of our minds and in our lives, we will be able to pass these tests with flying colors. As long as we are able to accept Jesus as our Savior, we will be able to pass that final test and live eternally in
to finding our purpose. If we remain faithful to God and continue to search for our
Many people have a stage in their life when they stop for a moment and think “what am I here to do?”. For me that stage in life had arrived a long time ago. I was about fourteen years old, I felt alone, I felt scared, but most of all I felt useless I didn't know in what direction my life was going. I kept asking the Lord to show me, to lead me to what he wants me do to and to shape me into who he wants me to be. When I say purpose most people think about the career I want to have, while having a career is important to me. I feel like that still doesn't complete my purpose. I want to do more for us, for humanity, for our future. I believe my ultimate purpose in life is to help people in need of attention and affection. I think that the Lord has put me through difficult obstacles in life so that I could help the people that went through or are going through the same things that I have left in my past. My motivation for doing this is first of all is knowing that this is what God wants me to do, and knowing that he is blessing me. And then of course is helping the people, seeing their smiles and telling them that they are not alone and that I understand them. And will help them with whatever I can. What I do to achieve my purpose is that I go to many centers, and meet people, mostly children that have been through any kind of abuse.
