1.Is loving someone the same as being in love? I disagree and would argue that being in love and loving someone has two very different meanings. The word love is used too loosely. Loving someone and being in love with someone are two very different things. Although I am not a love master, being only 19 years old and in two serious relationships in my life, I have come to realize being in love is something special. I believe when you are in love it’s not a choice, that person is picked for you. You are addicted to them, you want all your friends and family to love them as much as you do, you are there when they succeed and there when they fail, you miss them every minute you are apart and you unconditionally love them, even when times get hard. …show more content…
Love in itself is a chance you need to be willing to take. There is no love without risk and even worse than risk, there is no love without loss. Everything in life is a risk, but risking to open yourself up and fully give yourself to someone can be the hardest of them all. It is courageous to love because falling in love can be hard. Relationships have the potential to either end well, or end horrifically, but the thing is, that’s the risk you have to be willing to take. The reason relationships are so complicated is because of the people in them. People make them challenging and complex. Who can tell you before a relationship starts if you are gonna be toxic, or gonna be part of something very special. The risk everybody takes on a daily basis with love, is a risk that can have a very giant reward, a big ring and a wedding. Some people are afraid to fall in love because they fear heartbreak, and I could say i’m that person. When I am in a relationship, I put in everything I have. I value all of the relationships I am apart of and I strive to make them better everyday. But sometimes I just need to face the world and realize that at some point, most of the relationships I have today will fail because people make mistakes. Heartbreak is inevitable, and that is okay. I will be okay. Heartbreak has a way of reminding us that we are in love, and that we do know how to love. The desire people have to make things last will force you to giving love another try. When you set all your reservations and fears aside, you will allow yourself to love and prosper in a relationship. Heartbreak in a relationship doesn’t just occur when you and your significant other break up, you feel heartbreak when someone you love passes away, you lose a friend you thought you would have forever and for many other reasons. Although heartbreak does suck, it is a part of the excitement of life. In relationships you are never supposed to know how

In Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the characters Hermia and Lysander are faces with a difficult situation when they want to be married and are forbidden to by Hermia’s father, who instead wishes her to be married to another young man, Demetrius. Hermia and Lysander forced to plead her case to both her father and the duke of Athens, Theseus. But Theseus’ only words to Hermia are those that tell her she should be obedient to her father. Her pleas are essentially ignored. While it is unfortunate that her thoughts should not be given a second thought,
To be in love simply means to be human. You can’t help but to fall in love a couple of times in your life and I don’t expect for you to not think that the love won’t hold and that it won’t hurt. Just know that if it does hurt and it does end and you do fall “into the commonest ash”(32) get up and don’t give up on love. Everyone has someone out they’re for him or her and that just wasn’t your one and that’s perfectly fine just don’t give up on something that is so special to life. Love is “golden” and we all deserve to feel the gold that comes our
Love, that single feeling which generates the funny sensations in people's stomach, giving them the warm pleasures in their body, causing them to feel joy, and to believe every aspect in their life is right. It causes them to receive an exhilarating, appealing feeling that makes them want to rejoice. Love can be a speeding of their heart, but it can also be nerve-racking. It makes their hearts begin to rapidly pump, making a rapid beat— “ba-boom, ba-boom, ba-boom”. Attempting to describe love is a rigorous task, but it is possible. However, the easiest detail to describe and understand about love is not so much the feeling of it, but the concept of what it is about. Many people may obtain different views and definitions regarding love, but

If a museum was to open an exhibit entitled Love & Sex they would need different artifacts to cover concepts like gender, relationships, sexuality, traditions, identity, etc. Under the topic of love and & sex there are many different traditions and/or rituals that are very present in western society, if not others as well. One specific traditional ritual is usually once someone has found the person they love and want to spend their life with they get married, specifically during a wedding ceremony. The artifact for submission to the Love & Sex exhibit is rice that is ceremonially tossed at newlywed couples.
There is a powerful feeling in the world that can change a person's way of life and thinking as well as the culture of society. This feeling is love and it is part of what makes life worth living and in the end livable. People tend to find the feeling of love to be either beautiful, painful, or disdainful, but for the most part unexplainable. Meanwhile, some might say that it is just a chemical reaction in the brain that happens to increase the chances of reproduction. Ultimately, love comes in many different forms and each form gives its own meaning to love and worth to human life.
Love. Everyone is familiar with that four-letter word, but do they actually know what it means? What is love exactly? Is love being with someone you care about the most? Or is liking something way more than you do? It is astounding to think that this four letter word could mean so much in many different ways and how it could affect your (or another person’s) life. Everyone has their own view on love. Whether it is a positive view or a negative one, somehow, love always finds a way to end up in a person’s life, even if they aren’t looking for it.
No matter how young a person starts engaging in a relationship, as time continues, people grow up and change, realizing that the relationship they had with someone a year ago may not be the same type of relationship they want in the present day. Someone’s high school relationship is not the same relationship they want in college, because in college, people want to start settling down and getting more serious, hoping to find the love of their life. Being in love with someone that you share a relationship is something that is indescribable. For example, being in love means that no matter what the other person does to you or themselves, you will still be right there in their corner. It is something that you cannot find everyday. It is a magical, fiery sensation that one gets when you see or think about that special person. Although being in love can make a person the happiest they have been throughout their whole lives, that fiery sensation can also be blown out. For example, when two people get married they take vowels saying how much they would never hurt the other person and how they would do whatever they can to make each other happy. All of this is said and after they are married, they now share a life together. Well, their lives may be as happy as a child in a candy store, but then all of a sudden one person starts to cheat. Now, in most cases the other person decides for themselves the best step to take in order to live in happiness. That may include in getting a divorce. If this is the case, then that means that the other person’s fire they had for the other has been burned out. The love that they once shared for one another died down because all humans have the capability to love more than one thing, meaning that when something comes along to spark one’s interest, they may chase after it, causing them to lose everything that really meant something to them. Just as friends, the love someone
What does the word “love” mean? Love comes from the Latin word "amo," and according to the Long Man Dictionary of American English, love is an emotion normally used when speaking about feelings and caring for someone. Now, love as we tend to say, does not come from the heart, but instead through a chemical reaction, which happens in the brain. But, no matter how unromantic that sounds, love is still a very strong feeling and its meaning is amazingly difficult to define. Hence, "love" is misunderstood and is constantly misused. Nonetheless, in the Christian Greek Scriptures, the Bible teaches with clarity about love, because in the ancient Greek dialect, love was broken down into four simple words: agape, philia, storge, and eros.
Love happens when you least expect it. It can happen on the street corner, at the bar, at the grocery store, the park. That’s one of the greatest things about love. As for me I found love in the pouring down rain in the middle of the street. I fell in love with a man who I never thought in a million years I’d fall for. A man who is loving, caring and respectful. The night I laid my eyes on him I knew he was it. He came into my life at a point when I was unraveling and losing control. I was lost for two years after my high school sweetheart and I broke up, I thought I was never going to find real love, but I did. He saved me and I remember every minute from that night.
When most people think of love they mentally picture Cinderella and her Prince Charming happily dancing off into the sunset. They think of Noah reading his documented love story to dementia riddled Allie in attempt to make her remember him. They picture Michelle Tanner and Uncle Jesse solving the world’s problems with nothing but a ‘you got it, Dude’. People associate love with happiness, but love is also pain. Picture Ronnie as she clings to her cancer-stricken father who was once her closest friend. Love can bring people together, but it can also tear them apart. Love is defined as “strong affection for another” but love is so much more (Love 1). Love cannot be simply defined as affection because it does not
Everyone at some point in their lives has experience love, whether they were loved or have loved. Every one becomes a philosopher when it comes to love. The truth is the question "What is love?" Is very hard to answer. I realized that there is no one definition of love. Everyone has their own ideas and definition of what love is and means to them.
There is many types of love, but the one that we all feel the most is the one we have for our close ones, pets, and even objects. That feeling is love. Love can be felt in a variety of ways; it may take your life, or it can just be a little crush. It is different for everyone. There is people who fall in and out of love on a daily basis, and there are those who look for love for an eternity. Love is not just for us people, it is for everyone and everything around us. We love anything we want to, but it is a way of expressing it where we show who we are.
When I was a young girl in elementary school I developed a friendship with a girl that lived a block from me. We began visiting each other’s homes every day. Having sleep overs, riding the bus together and even sitting with each other during lunch. We developed a friendship that couldn’t be broken. It didn’t matter that I was African American and she was Caucasian her whole family made me feel like I was one of their own. While I didn’t know much about anything and didn’t really know what family meant I learn it from her family. She taught me how to line dance and I learn to love his strange music that was peaceful and full of love called country music. It had a way of making your feel happy when you were down. We formed a bond and became best friends she was the only friend I had and I remember when her other friends came to visit I grew kind of jealous because I thought they would take her away from me and I would be all alone again so I became distant. She was such a great friend and for somehow she knew what was bothering me without me even having to say anything so she told me that it shouldn’t worry we will always be friends and it’s okay to have more than one best friend. She was so wise for her age I use to think to myself. As I grew older my mother and siblings and I moved out of town and I lost connection with her but with the increased technology like Facebook we have reconnected. I believe attraction played a major part on us becoming friends. Our friendship started on the school bus on the ride home from school. A couple of bullies started picking on her because of her freckles and fi...
