An obstetrician/gynecologist is a physician specialist who provides medical and surgical care to women and has specific skill in pregnancy, childbirth, and disorders of the reproductive system. This includes preventative care, prenatal care, detection of sexually transmitted diseases, Pap test screening, and family planning.
An obstetrician/gynecologist, commonly abbreviated as OB/GYN, can serve as a primary physician and often serve as consultants to other physicians. OB/GYNs can have private practices, work in hospital or clinic settings, and maintain teaching positions at university hospitals. OB/GYNs may also work public health and preventive medicine administrations. OB/GYNs have a broad base of knowledge and can vary their professional focus. Many develop unique practices, providing high-quality health care for women. OB/GYNs may choose to specialize in Acute and chronic medical conditions, adolescent gynecology, behavioral problems, cancer, endocrinology, health maintenance during pregnancy, infertility, pregnancy and delivery, prevention health, and urinary tract disorders.

Humans are inherently evil in nature and without law will unknowingly let this vile aspect of their own person be revealed. The depravity of actions in humans is expressed in William Golding’s novel, Lord of the Flies, by a group of English boys that are stranded on an island, and disconnected from society. The fear from violation of laws that holds people to their morals and rationality in their society vanishes, and a growth of savagery is present in all the boys. Savagery, an element innate to humanity, can only be repressed by the laws of society; the lack of regulation removes all inhibition, and therefore, exposes the beast representing evil from within.

“Culture belongs to the imagination; to judge it rationally is to misunderstand its function” (Wilson 79). In “The Butterfly Mosque” by G. Willow Wilson, she acknowledges culture and explains why cultures can differ so greatly. She emphasizes why its highly inconclusive to try to find a meaning behind ones culture. As a young American Muslim women she is faced with cross cultural ironies as she tries to find her identity and where she fits in. Her conversion to Islam brings into light her internalized prejudice and the different perspectives of Westerners towards the Middle East and vice versa. In her memoir, she depicts both positive and negative aspects of both cultures and, her struggle to find a common ground between the two.
Jack’s representation of malignant and viciousness validates that there is a dark side of human nature. As choirmaster, Jack succeeds pushing control over others, such as the choir, through his manipulative approach. He concentrates on hunting and yearns for meat. In result, his repulsive acts create a savage within. Evil is present in every single one of us and it is natural for one to do whatever it takes to stay alive. In Golding’s novel, Lord of The Flies, Golding depicts society through the group of stranded boys who are compelled to create their own representation of civilization. Though the civilized boys were born into the liberated civilization not all approach the situation with an enlightened belief. Everyone has the proposition to do great however when undermined, man can turn vicious, such as Jack. His fundamental conflicts are that people are savage by nature, and are moved by urges to dominate over others. The natural darkness in humankind brings about the breakdown of civilization, as demonstrated by Jack.
bringing these topics such as Islam and Islamophobia out towards the public sphere, garnering a greater audience and exposure. Examples of religious engagement on the show include: Mosque attendance, prayer, reading the Qu 'ran, wearing religious clothing such as the hijab, and governance around male and female interaction. Popular culture in religion speaks to the adoption of popular culture by religion. In Little Mosque, when Babar takes over as Imam he redecorates with signs and hangings one of which is an “the Imam is in” sign, a Peanut’s Cartoon reference. The show also incorporates popular culture’s fascination with gamification, with Rev. Thorne’s comparison of the epic battle between the two religions (Muslim and Christianity) to that of board games like batlle ship. To a lesser extent one could argue that the transmission format of Little Mosque as a television program functions for some as a religion. Marshall McLuhan contends that all media in and of themselves and regardless of their message exert compelling influence on man and society. In this way, Television as a medium functions as popular culture as religion and holds mass appeal. Finally as Religion and popular culture in dialogue, the group of nomad muslims condemn and oppose the influence of popular culture in their religion and keep true to fundamentalist ways. To a lesser, this typology is also demonstrated with Baber’s stance against women wearing pants and Tupper’s concern of maintaining the status-quo christian way of life in Mercy,, their perspective of Muslims reflective of what’s being displayed on current popular television and recent presidential
Upon doing some research, I found that a pediatrician's main duty, and the type of the work done in the career. According to Gaither (2016), the author examines who a pediatrician is and what this chosen career does in health care. According to Gaither (2016), a pediatrician’s main duty is to take care and to examine children to make sure they are in a healthy condition and are developing correctly. It also mentions that picking a pediatrician is a very important choice for the future and well being of your child. However, to goes on to mention that pediatricians are very important to have because they have extensive knowledge of a child’s health, and a pediatrician can spot illnesses quickly and diagnose them effectively. This is further
These two young boys, Jack and Jonas, both ignore the rules of their societies and show that there is a commonly occurring desire to oppose the rules set by society, and the moral and ethical consequences of acting against social order. Jack’s yearning to be the leader and have authority is reflected through his actions, directly `influencing the society and testing how far he is willing to push the boundaries for his own benefit before losing his own sanity.
A career is a long time employment role which centers around the passion of ongoing goals that one wants to achieve. For my career, I will choose to become an Obstetric sonographer.Obstetric sonographers are people who perform ultrasounds on the pelvic region of female patients and fetuses.medical sonographers typically need to obtain an associate or bachelor's degree in sonography from a college or university. Basic skills that are required are to have solid technical skills for being able to function the equipment and getting practicable images, the physical skills of good hand-eye coordination to move appliances on the patient’s body in correlation to what appears on the screen, endurance to stand for long periods of time and the capacity
Becoming an obstetrician gynecologist (OBGYN) requires about twelve through fifteen years of education and practical experience. The first eight years are typical medical education. Doctors start to train in OBGYN practice at the same time as residency programs that follow up after graduation from medical school. OBGYNs have to go after a four year undergraduate degree for instance a bachelor of science in human biology. Students must also think about taking courses in biology, chemistry, and anatomy, because course like those give you a strong substructure of education for medical school and human health. Most programs which endeavor science degrees usually subsume laboratory courses, which allow learners to become knowledgeable with lab equipment and procedures. During the last two years of college, you will then begin to get ready for the medical col...
In conclusion, I agree with Tom Regan’s perspective of the rights view, as it explores the concept of equality, and the concept of rightful treatment of animals and humans. If a being is capable of living, and experiencing life, then they are more than likely capable of feeling pleasure and pain, except in a few instances. If humans are still treated in a respectable and right way even if some cannot vote, or think for themselves, then it is only fair that animals who also lack in some of these abilities be treated as equals. As Regan puts it, “pain is pain, wherever it occurs” (1989).
the female reproductive system, including the treatments of disorders and diseases. Generally, the training for both an obstetrician and a gynecologist occur at the same time. This is how the term OB/GYN came to be. An OB/GYN is a physician who specializes in both pregnancy and female reproductive care. The medical care that is provided by an OB/GYN can range from anual pap smears to prenatal care. An OB/GYN can also specialize in a particular area of medicine such as urinary tract disorders, infertility, and preventitive health, to name a few(Women's Health Channel). Typically, the personality traits that are benificial to an OB/GYN are patientce, intelligence, compassion, and the ability to communicate well with people. These will help to make the patients feel at ease with their doctor and establish a trusting relationship if they feel that their doctor sinceraly cares about their health and well being. The number of hours that an OB/GYN may vary each week, hence this is not a standard, Monday through Friday, nine to five job. OB/GYNs, who are in practice, can be expected to work as little as fifty hour...
Tom Regan, “The Case for Animal Rights,” in In Defense of Animals, ed. Peter Singer (Oxford:
To become an ob-gyn it takes a lot. You need to have a completion of an undergraduate bachelor degree, followed by a doctorate of medicine degree. Pre- medical courses in general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, and biology are required of all applicants. Experience and a full medical license tend to be required. Working under pressure may seem like a lot but after so much experience, it gets easier. Soon to be obstetricians tend to go to college for eight to ten years and work very long hours. Enjoying medicine and surgery helps you enjoy your job more.
An obstetrician is one thing, and a gynecologist is another. The job is combined together, but the two branches can be worked separately. An obstetrician is a physician who focuses and is trained in the management of pregnancy, labor, and pueperium (the period following childbirth). A physician who has specialized and trained in the health of the female reproductive system is a gynecologist. The reason the jobs are combined is because they’re both all about women. Obstetricians and Gynecologists are physicians who provide general medical care to women. They equip medical care associated with pregnancy or childbirth, and they diagnose, treat, and help prevent diseases, especially those affecting the female
