Becoming a Police Officer has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. Growing up I remember always wanting to see what was going on when lights and sirens raced past my house. As I grew up I realized how strong my desire to help others and be able to do something my family and I could be proud of. My desire from a very young age, to become a Police Officer, has helped shape me to the person I am now. When I was a young boy I can remember wanting to run after any emergency vehicles that passed down my street. I was in awe on how these responders did not seem scared to do whatever they happened to be doing. If I was out with my parents doing something and a Police car of a Fire truck would go by I would ask them to follow it. There many times I can remember my father waking me up in the middle of the night to take me to some kind of emergency situation in the neighborhood or to something he had heard about on the radio or on TV. Since that time, I met the love of life, Lindsey and married her. We have two younger children, Ethan and Haley, that are full of energy and life and that has helped me grow up and push me towards finishing my goal and desire to become a Police Officer. They have sacrificed a lot for me to go back to school and strive to get into the Police Academy, and getting into this academy is the next step of being able to make them proud of what I am trying to accomplish and what I have accomplished to this point. I feel that the way I have been shaped by my willingness to serve others and put them first has been a lifelong experience that has been rewarding in itself and the ability to serve others by being a Police Officer will be an
