But they still have to respect the fact that they are not allowed to touch you unless you have given them the permission, you can however, refuse to let them touch you. Assistants are also in charge of writing everything down in your files, so that if you were ever to visit that hospital again, they would have past history recorded, and they could send that to a number of other hospitals if they were to need it.
