1. Many people have multiple reasons why they want to be able to help others in their everyday jobs. My attraction to being a Speech Language Pathologist is because I want to be able to people overcome their speech problems. As a Speech Language Pathologist I want to be able to help people that have speech problems, overcome this problem and be able to be independent without needing the help of myself or other people that are trying to talk to them. I personally know their feelings and have actually been in their shoes to know how frustrating life can be trying to talk and have someone else talk for you. My main motivation for being a helper is the fact that by working with children, later on in life theses children will know that they have someone to come to in the future, for any reason. I would be considered to be an informal helper if I was just talking to them as a friend, but with my job being a Speech Language Pathologist, I would also be considered a physical helper as well. When I was a young child, I had a physical helper, who was my doctor and my Speech Language Pathologist. When it came to me having problems with my parents getting mad because they couldn’t understand me, I would go talk to my Speech Language Pathologist about how to resolve these problems. I would I also have my informal helpers which was my friends, hairstylist, and my family. I would just talk to these people on a daily basis because we all lived in the same town, and because they cared about me. All these people helped me get through some of the worst time in my life, but they also made me have so many good things happen to me. Seeing all these people do those little things for me made me want to be able to do the same for anyone that needs a friend or someone to be there to guide
I find occupational therapy to pique my drive to teach people valuable life skills as well as learn from those people and their experiences. Being an occupational therapist would allow me to have one-on-one interactions with patients and establish meaningful relationships over the course of time. It would also give me the dutiful privilege and responsibility of instilling confidence in others and helping them realize their full potential in self-suffiency. I grew up with people who helped for a living. My mom’s job was helping girls that had got themselves into trouble and needed help, that is when I learned as a toddler, that helping is what I wanted to do. I soon got into elementary school and I was a big helper. I still am. Last year I was in Mrs. Harkabus’ class and had the greatest opportunity
I chose to research a physical therapist because it provides an opportunity to help people. This is a good career for me because it is in the medical field, which is where I want to be headed towards, and is not extremely stressful. Physical therapists use human biology more than chemistry, which is an advantage because I find biology more interesting. It is a good balance between studies, physical activity, and personal relationships. On the other hand, it requires a lot of school, which will take a lot of time and money. Looking from a bigger picture, the amount of school will be beneficial and the career advantages will outweigh the downsides. Overall, a physical therapist sounds like a very excellent fit for me.
People may think speech pathology is easy but it’s difficult unless knowledge is great. People get really overwhelmed when finding out what skills and classes are taken to become a speech pathologist. After people see the salary the eyes light up. Speech pathology is confirmed to be such a hard career most people do not major in it.

My area of interest for being a medical assistant is to work for a psychiatric clinic or hospital just to get started. Eventually I will go back to school to obtain a bachelor’s degree for allied health. I can then work my way to become a nurse manager. I have compassion and commitment to be in the medical field. My determination and ambition will always allow me to go above and beyond to be the best medical assistant.
I truly love what I do because it provides me the chance to care for my residents in their most vulnerable and personal moments, whether it be their first steps after surgery or their last breaths in this world. This experience has also allowed me to grow in my knowledge and familiarity of the medical culture and environment. For instance, I have seen the importance and benefit of having several professionals, such as doctors, PAs, therapists, and others, working together on one patient to provide the best quality of care. Additionally, I have been volunteering writing resumes and giving practice interviews for disadvantaged individuals, as well as tutoring homeless and foster children. Working with these individuals is beyond doubt an amazing privilege as I am able to aid those who think that they have no place to turn. Whether it is bringing school supplies to a teenager who has been living on the streets or helping a former inmate acquire his first job after his release, I cherish helping those who feel marginalized by society find their way to a better way of
Helping others is something that is a part of who I am. Growing up I used to always love taking care of my grandmother. My grandmother was a sweet person and she always asked for me to take care of her. Taking care of her made me realize that nursing was the right career for me, With all my little cousings, I would always go and get the medicine and bandages and clean up their cut and put the medicine and a bandage on it. It made me feel real good knowing that I had taken care of them. I knew I wanted to be a nurse when I grew up but, I just started hanging around the wrong people at school and got caught up. I came to job corp to get my high school diploma and a trade. I knew that the CAN program was the best program for me. My instructors have been great in teaching me everything I need to do. I care about people and taking care of them and that’s mostly what nursing is all about. My goal is to be nurse. After I become a nurse, I want to work with little children.
Choosing this field is something that has a profound connection with my personal life. Becoming a Diagnostic Medical sonographer would mean that I have accomplished life long dream. Ever since I was a little, I always wanted to be in the medical field. I have always had a big heart and wanted to help people so when I saw the important role that sonographers play in the medical field, it became clear to me that being a sonographer was exactly what I want to do with my life. In 2007 someone who was very important to me passed away due to gastric cancer. When my grandmother, who was a mother, father, and a friend to me, was diagnosed with gastric cancer my world collapsed. It was devastating news, not only for me but also for the whole family.
The desire to help people and make a difference in the society is what attracted me to the field of medicine. As a child I was always interested in science as a subject and participated in many National Level Science competitions. I volunteered for Urban Leprosy control program, which gave me an opportunity to interact with Leprosy patients and participate in activities aimed at educating people about the disease and disease prevention. It was during this time that I had a chance to closely observe the relationship between a doctor and the patient and I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in the field of medicine.
Throughout this researched that I investigated I became interested in this field in a way. If I had an option in medical field I would take the option. Knowing that you are helping patients out is an amazing feeling. I would work with infants rather than adults. I would cherish every moment because you would never know if that’s the last time to work with the patient not just because of death but maybe cause they might recover from there sickness.
There are many reasons why I decided that I wanted to work in the social work profession. When I first enrolled in college, I was a nursing major with the mindset of becoming a neonatal nurse. When that did not go as planned, I decided to become a social work major because I knew I would receive the same reward of helping someone out and providing an individual with a better opportunity by lending him or her a hand. This was my first reason for choosing this career because I saw so many benefits from this profession. My second reason for was due to the fact that I want to help people during their time of need. There were times in my life where I needed guidance and it felt great to have someone there being compassionate and caring towards me.
There are many reasons why I would love to become a social worker. However, it is sort of difficult to pinch point how or why I became attracted to this specific profession. Nevertheless, most of the particles in my body argue that it would have to stem back to experiences I have encountered growing up. I would like to begin by saying that graduating high school I was unsure where I was going or where I would end up. My mother who always had high expectations for me persuaded me to at least attempt pursing a college education. I then decided to enroll Guttman Community College @ CUNY, where I was appointed a Student Success Advocate (S.S.A). My S.S.A saw something in me that I had yet to figure out. He pushed me to want more for myself both in my academic and personal life. Every time I was ready to give up he was there to remind me that I was capable of succeeding.
My career choice is to become a pediatrician. The question is: what makes this job so interesting or fantastic enough to be chosen? This job requires many sacrifices, skills, and strengths to endeavor the obstacles on the way to the goal. This particular job is also a very honorable and noble job in the sense of helping children with their illnesses and ailments. Personally, I love children and I’m always fascinated by their actions and interesting techniques of expressing themselves. Since I am intrigued by the children’s personality I love spending time with them (and that’s why their child-like ways rub off on me). Thus, I believe that my own childish personality and my love of children will motivate me in the near future to help them out with their medical needs. Also, being a pediatrician and helping out children has its own rewards. Not only will I be doing something I enjoy, but I will be getting paid a generous price as well. A pediatrician’s salary is not the highest one compared to surgeons or cardiologists, but it’s enough to have a life that is something more than simply satisfying. Another good aspect of this job is that they only focus on the health of children rather than all of the age groups. An adult and a child are so different they are nearly two different species. If a child is brought to a doctor who specializes in all age groups, the child would not be getting the same kind of attention that he or she would be getting, compared to that from a doctor who specializes only in children. Doctors that specialize in all age groups are used to make quick, rough, and fundamental actions need for the healing of the patient. I made the decision to join the health care field based on my own desire, love of the people that live and thrive around me, and to be a role model for my daughter. I feel it is important to have a goal in life, and it is important to me to show my daughter the value of goals, and achieving them as well. I love meeting new people, and being able to lend a helping hand in any way I possibly can. What better way to help the general population then to have a profession in the health care industry.
