During the summer break, why do families visit beaches so often? A very common vacation site for families during the summer season is the beach. Although the beach has many beautiful aspects that make up its unique scenery, it also provides many joyful and memorable emotions to its travelers. For my family, the beach has always been our favorite vacation site for the summer. Most people often refer to the beach as a peaceful yet exciting scene.
There are many different elements that make the beach a relaxing and fun environment. Three of the images presented were a starfish, a sand dollar, and a sea shell that focused on their individual texture and color. These images emphasized the beauty of different common features that are incorporated in the beach setting that provide amazement and interest to guests. Two of the students mainly focused on what the object was and the location it was associated with. When Abigail viewed the items, she stated the name of the objects, and after viewing the first four pictures, she was able to identify the theme. Although, the zoomed in photo of the textured palm tree bark caused confusion for most. Shelby and Abigail both suggested that the image mirrored the texture of a traditional Easter basket. This photo was the first image shown to the audience; therefore, they had no background on what the theme could be. One student concentrated on the feelings that the scenery provided for her. Kylee instantly thought of two songs that reminded her of the location, “Cake by the Ocean” by DNCE and “California Girls” by Katy Perry. These photos immediately gave her a feeling of joy and excitement which reminded her of these songs. Although the theme was easily discovered, there are changes that need to be made to improve the
