The Beach Boys Just think of going to the past, and being able to go to a Beach Boys concert. Then also right after, going backstage to meet them and learn all about them. If you keep going on and reading it will be like talking with them and getting to know them. Plus this was the band that most bands today were influenced by. The Beach Boys was a band of members that were popular throughout the 60´s and 70´s, they were the band that influenced the genre of california livin´ rock/pop.

The Beach Boys songs are usually very happy and related to the “Beach.” Even though it was sometimes hard to think of songs, they made it pretty far. “One of his earliest songs, “Surfin”, was released on a local label, and the topical name “Beach Boys” was innocently adopted”(Wheadon). The song Surfin became a Billboard Hot 100, with Murry’s efforts(Wheadon). “Over the next 18 months the Beach Boys had 10 US hits and released four albums of surfing and hot-rod songs”(Wheadon). Throughout the 1980’s everything fell apart. Almost half the band died through this time and almost everyone left. “During 1983 The Beach Boys were the center of controversy, when they were banned from performing at the Fourth of July Washington Monument”(The Beach Boys Biography). Also,”1983 marked Brian’s return to the stage with the group, but also the death of Dennis”(The Beach Boys Biography). This is showing how bad the 1980’s were.
