This is the origin of the game of basketball. On November 6, 1861 the great James Naismith was born in Ontario, Canada to Mr. and Mrs. John and Margaret Naismith. Everybody knows LeBron James and Dirk Nowitzki are among the NBA’s best players, but not every player is as gifted as these. Take Austin Rivers for example, after playing for the Pelicans last year, he had over 74 turnovers with over 122 personal fouls, yet he still get an average salary of over 2.238 million dollars! No matter what sport you may find interesting, basketball will always be one of the greatest. From China to France, England to Australia basketball is not just a game but a part of life. It doesn’t matter if you’re better than LeBron or worse than Austin, the real winning in basketball is the smile on your face when you hit that jumper, or assist that alley-oop, or even dribble the ball down the court. Basketball isn’t just found in the dreams of small children, but is also found in the hearts of many.
