The musicians were very talented, as they performed a variety of songs. I enjoyed most of the songs performed and admire the ability of the musicians. After the conclusion of the concert I was impressed with the entire format of the concert and I enjoyed it thoroughly. If I were to have attended this concert 5 months ago I don't think I would have appreciated it as much due to the fact that before this class I didn't have any knowledge regarding instruments, musicians, conductors, and the importance of unity and variety, tempo, volume, rhythm, melody, harmony, or form. After this class I learned about all of the important aspects of music and for me I enjoyed listening to each piece and trying to link each piece to a certain historical period by sorting out the characteristics of each piece.
The College Choir Concert On Wednesday, May 23rd, I attended the College Choir concert in the Reamer Campus Center. The choir performed a variety of songs, ranging from pieces in Latin to traditional American folksongs. Two of the pieces featured solos, and one even featured percussion instruments. Mrs. Elinore Farnum provided piano accompaniment for each of the songs, and performed beautifully. I was extremely impressed by the talented choir members and their ability to sing such a varied range of songs.
It was also stated that some of them sing in the choir just for fun as they are not music majors. There seemed to be an appeal in the fact that the singers were mostly very young. The piece as a whole was also very enjoyable. There was a lot of contrast which I really enjoyed. The music would be very loud and then... ... middle of paper ... ...orgettable.
Premiere performed by the pianist Luiza Borac. This piece was first beginning with the repeating chords accompanied with the soft moderato me... ... middle of paper ... ...xcited to have this experience. Part of the drama of the concert at first is felt when the musicians come in and sit down and begin tuning up their instruments. I would not be able to comment on the performance of the orchestra. During the performance, I seen the audience were moving with the music, but I felt like that everyone seems knows more music than what I learned throughout this semester.
Musician My career research paper is about Musicians, because I want to be a musician. I cannot go a day without music, either singing it myself or listening to it. Every time I hear a song, I just want to sing along, even if I don't know the words. Being a musician would be a lot of work, I am aware, but it would be worth it because I would be pursuing a career that I will enjoy doing for the rest of my life. There are three main sections that branch off of being a musician: Education, which includes: Music teacher, private vocal instructor, band director, etc; Non-Professional.
When I first got my saxophone, I kept taking it out and putting it together, even though I had no idea how to play it. As I kept playing through the years, I would fall deeper in love with music. I would listen to our music that we were playing all the time, so I knew exactly how I should be playing it. I learned a lot while playing in the concert band. In concert band, it requires being precise.
Having good vowels makes us have a better sound, and lets our audience understand what is being said. This helps us sound good in concerts, festivals and other performances. Being in a choir means that we all have the common goal of making good music. Music that makes you cry or laugh. Music that makes you feel something deep within.
Many might say that Bach was into music because most of his family was and it was expected for him to follow the same steps. Bach decided to follow music not just because it was part of his family, but because he was devoted to it. Many people who listen to Bach will say that listening to his compositions make them feel like they are at home, it feels natural and
Spring Choir Concert The spring choir concert that I went to was like the percussion concert just with singing. I enjoyed listening to the singers as they sung the different melodies. As I was sitting there listening to the different singers sing I could not help but to think about how strong there voices are and how strong they must be to get over the big space of the performance center. Voice is just lost in such a big space like the one in the Price performance center, they have to work on their voices and make sure that they can sing loud, clear and strong to get it across to the audience. Also, while trying to do that they must make sure that the quality is not lost while trying to increase the loudness of their voice.
My favorite work out of this section was Prayer by Rene Clausen. This selection is polyphonic and the singers change pitch frequently. The piece is sacred and would be presented in a church by a choir sometimes they are in harmony but in various sections only the altos will sing and then the sopranos will follow a couple of beats later. Overall the Fall concert was an excellent presentation of many different works and an enjoyment to attend. The UNG singers and Le Belle Voci’s hard work really paid off as they continued to wow the audience (including myself) with their immense talent.
