43 American presidents later Barrack Hussein Obama II a democrat becomes the first African- American to become president in the United States. He got elected as the 44th president on November, 4th,2008 then re-elected for his second and last term in 2012. Barack Obama was born August 4th 1961 to a middle class family so he knew getting a good education could take him far in life. He attended college then moved to Chicago Illinois where he helped groups of churches rebuild their communities after local steel plants closed. He later attended Harvard Law school and became an Illinois state senator in 1996 and was elected to the U.S senate in 2004. Both President Bush and President Obama had very different ways of running the country during their presidencies.
