Honor is a highly positive noun which can mean “someone’s good reputation.” There are other definitions for honor also; this is just one of them. For example, if a friend has a great talent, then that could be his honor for others to see and praise. In Banner In The Sky the main character in the book is named Rudi, and he wasn't honored because he didn't have a good reputation for working in a hotel while other boys are out climbing mountains as apprentices.
