Ban the burqa and niqab.

When I walk through the city centre I see many Muslims wearing burqas.Every time I see one heading towards me or passing by me I feel anxious and scared yet they have don’t know wrong.The presence of the niqab causes worry because I am unsure of who it is hidden beneath it. I am unsure if this is a male, female, Muslim or not how am I to know ? If I feel threatened by the burqa I wonder how young children must feel.

Some objectors claim that by banning the burqa and niqab you are going against the most basic human right about woman having control over their bodies. Banning the burqa and niqab is also forcing all Muslim woman to abandon their cultural traditions. Some of the woman who wear a burqa and niqab have made it their choice to do so because they have noticed that when they wear it they receive far less male attention, this prevents the unwanted flirting and harassment and it stops men from looking at them inappropriately. the niqab is not needed to be worn due to religion as it does not say so in the Koran. Even in Saudi Arabia, the niqab is removed by women taking part in the hajj. Also religion shows the niqab is not necessary woman are still forced to wear it by they 're male friends and relatives. A study shows that 77% of woman who wear the niqab is due to horrible threats such as acid being thrown on there faces.

The niqab is also double standards as we would not allow men to be masked when in public whether or not they seen it as part of their religion, because masked men are seen to be threatening to women and other members of the public. We should not allow women to do what we are preventing men from
