Bald eagles are interesting animals. Bald eagles contain, symbolism, endangered, and outstanding physical abilities.

Two types of baled eagles: Haliaeetus Leucocephalus Leucocephalus, found in southern parts of North America, Haliaeetus leucocephalus alascanus, founding northern locations of North America. Because of discovering bald eagle species in disordered locations people have discontinued divisions of spices among bald eagles. Differences in color have been found in matured and juvenile bald eagles. Matured baled eagles dark brown back and chest; white head neck and tail; yellow feet and bill. Juvenile bald eagles contain mixtures of brown and white; with a black bills. Size and weight varies in sex and species. Males are thirty to thirty-five inches long. Females are thirty-five to thirty-seven inches long. Baled eagles weigh fourteen pounds.

Bald eagles have foveae eyesight. Foveae eyesight allows the baled eagle to sight fish hundreds of feet above. Eagles contain two eyelids. Translucent eyelids allow bald eagles to clean dirt from eyes with out losing sight.

Bald eagles are birds that hunt both fish and land animals. Bald eagles are able to lift animals weighing up to four pounds. Bald eagles talons are not able to be opened ,once grasped until pushed on a solid surface. Bald eagles can consume one pound of prey in a hour. Once eaten bald eagles can store food in to the stomach, crop. Food within the crop is pushed into solid mass, regurgitated and feed to young bald eagles.

Nest are usually built near coast lines. Nests range in size. Larger nests take more time to create. Nest can weigh up to two tons. During breeding season, fallen nests are reconstructed with in the same area.
