People bake for many different reasons: events, for fun, from stress or even out of boredom. Some people enjoy the process of baking, like myself, while others absolutely loath it. For me, there is nothing like the feeling of powdered sugar on your hands, flour all over your clothes and eating cookie and cake batter at eight O’clock in the morning. Baking is a form of stress relief for me, you can technically say that I stress bake… a lot.
I go through a whole process when I bake. The day before I usually like to pick what I want to bake for the next day, which in this case are snickerdoodle cookies. Once I figure out what I would like to bake then go through the list of ingredients for the cookies and find out what I need to make the cookies. I then go through my cabinets to see if I have any of the ingredients needed to make the snickerdoodles. After, I make a list of what I actually need from the store. To make the snickerdoodles you need: butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, cinnamon, and flour.

I then take my cookie sheets and line them with parchment paper, so the cookies come off the sheet easier, and set it aside for later. Once I do that I combined the 1 cup of butter, ¾ cup of granulated sugar, ½ cup of light brown sugar until they are a fluffy mixture. While that is in the mixer I add the 2eggs, 1 tbsp of vanilla to the sugar/butter mixture. I then add 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp of cream of tartar, ½ tsp of salt, 1 tsp of cinnamon very slowly so the mixture does not flow over the sides. Next, I turn the mixer on a low setting and add the 2¾ cup of flour slowly so it does not flow over the edge of the mixer. By the end of mixing all the ingredients it should be a slightly sticky dough. Take all of the dough and let it chill in the fridge for thirty
