For as long as I can remember I have been biting my nails. Some call it a “bad habit,”, on the other hand, call it an addiction. Nail biting is often linked with stress, anxiety, and obsessive compulsive disorder. The difference between a habit and an addiction is that a habit is a behavioral problem that is cause by repeating something so much it becomes involuntary. An addiction is a need of a certain thing, and if that thing is taken away, it can cause a negative effect. I would like to try to talk my sister, Shelain out of biting her nails, because of the health disadvantages it has. Shelain started biting her nails after watching me bite mine. I plan on talking to her on a weekend after five P.M., when I am babysitting so there are as little people around as possible. While talking to Shelian I will explain to her all the reasons why I believe she should try to stop biting her nails.
