It relates to examples of workplaces that have BYOD policies and current problems with that have arisen. The objective is to demonstrate the best practices that should be implemented as well as give some general information about the policy and legal repercussions. SUMMARY BYOD is a policy that allows your employees to bring their own smartphones, tablets, and laptops into the workplace. Nearly 80% of organizations have not trained workers on risks. Only 31% of organizations require a password or a key lock on personal devices. (Michael O'Dwyer, 2014) • Companies Do not pay enough attention to the danger of other Clouds. Te files are shared through third party cloud storage solutions such as DropBox, but 67% of businesses do not have a policy in place around public clouds and 80% have no trained employees in the properuse of these platforms. (Michael O'Dwyer, 2014) CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS BYOD programs can provide significant benefits to an organization, ranging from higher user satisfaction to greater productivity working with advanced devices. The nature of new technology and processes can pose a risk to an organization if not correctly managed. .Organizations can minimize risk concerns by implementing a formal BYOD Policy: When you are sure of what you want to do and how, draft appropriate policies and procedures. It may be best to have more than one policy rather than trying to cover too many things in one unwieldy policy.
