Becoming an Automotive Master Mechanic To become an Automotive Master Mechanic, there are certain job tasks, special skills and talents you will need, as well as a higher education in an automotive class. Not many people nowadays like to get there hands dirty and because of that a lot of processes in this career have been taken over by “robots” or other machines. Although there most job tasks have been taken over by machines, there still are some tasks that only us humans can do, for example, machines can’t build engines or install them correctly either. But we can also repair and maintain mechanical equipment, select what parts the machines make so we can install them into the vehicle, and many more. Some abilities and special skills you will also need are arm-hand steadiness, precision control, multi limb coordination, skills with computers and electronics, and near sighted vision could be helpful to success in this career. First, high school classes that you should take for this career are math, welding or any other mechanical class, and engineering. Secondly, with a high school diploma and over summer internships at garages, the college you should go to should be a technical college, for example where I’m going to is N.T.C or Northwoods Technical College for automotive for years. Some of the techs will even let you bring your own car to work on while you are there. After the 2 year technical college, you should be able to find job, but if you want to work for a pro race team as a mechanic or part of the pit crew, you should enrol in racing school at a nearby racetrack. Some good racetracks to learn at are Orlando World Speedway, Road America, Road Atlanta, Irwindale Speedway, and many more. There you could also become one of the drivers,
