Throughout high school, my experience was very difficult. The past three years at Wise high school have been difficult because I have transitioned from a small school to a huge school. It seemed like staying to myself was easier. It cut out on drama and unnecessary interactions. This helped me in school because each individual person shows their culture and they express it vibrantly. Being passively social in school helps me realized that there lots of opinions and point of views. I tend to take in more than what I spit out but it's because I want to hear people out and understand where they are coming from. Throughout my art classes, the teachers help me express myself without talking. It challenges me to be more creative and imaginative.
Many men knew that if women were educated, they would not depend on the men. For centuries, only men were educated. In the 1800, women started to come out of their house and reached for the education in colleges. Most people were antagonistic to having women go to college and having the same education as men. They thought that women should just take care of their husband and kids. The society thought that coed colleges were more barbaric, because they thought that men and women could not work together. The women’s colleges became a light for the women in 1800’s. Women learned to stand up for their rights by getting educated in college.

He grew up in an average sized town in Tennessee, and attended a high school with the population of 1,200 students. As a senior in high school, I have a lot of advice on how to survive high school that would benefit incoming freshman. The first piece of advice I have to offer is to figure out what is most important to you. If you want to be a star athlete, push yourself every day in the gym to be that much better than you were before; others might want to be a doctor so they spend a lot of extra time in the classroom getting all the help they can get. No matter what path you choose, figuring out the person you want to be after high school is the first step to surviving high school. As a senior, this article relates to me the most because it talks about what will happen when that final year comes around and the next big step college. The school district I came from was nonaccredited at the time and did not prepare me to be well equipped in high school. I knew that coming from one of the worst public school districts in Kansas City to going to one of the top private high school schools in Missouri, would not be easy and I was up for the challenge. These days seniors in highschool are getting ready, or going into college without a strong plan. They go in without a career idea for their future, without the money to pay for it, with the idea that it is going to be easy, and that you're there to have a great time. This past month i have been looking at colleges and what I have to do to get accepted. The thing is, I had a huge wake up call. I thought college was going to be easy to afford, understand what career I want, and there was not going to be a lot of paperwork, that was idea for me.
It all started my sophomore year of high school. People always tell you that when someone knocks you down, you should always get back up and keep trying. I had this mindset at the beginning of my sophomore year, but I ended up letting a teacher knock me down to the point where I did not get back up for a couple years. I never expected my second year of high school to go so awry. Nevertheless, I was able to move forward and leave my negative experience behind me. I went to Sandia High School for my freshman and sophomore years. By my sophomore year, I felt at ease about high school. My favorite subjects were science and English. I had signed up for Newspaper that year and was very excited because I wanted to become a writer.
High school is an essential time in a person’s life. It is when people form their ideals and grow as the person they will be. When I began, I looked, sounded, and smelled like a middle schooler. Yet only four years later, I was expected to be on my own. Along the way I had to learn along the way how to be an adult and and how to solve my own problems. It was slow at first and I had to mature. It wasn’t always easy, but I worked hard to get where I am today. High school, like leg day, isn’t always fun, but makes oneself a bigger better person.
I always wanted to get good grades and challenged myself which help me get in the honor role in my two years in row, but that doesn't mean I am a perfect student. As, student going to high school can boost my confidence in the classroom and help improve my average writing skills. In Middle School, I was a part of clubs such as NJHS (National Junior Honor Society) and Service Learning, and being member of these clubs I become a well shape student overall by being optimistic and enthusiasm about school and I was given the opportunity to change the culture of my school and the community. When I am not doing school work, I enjoy playing sports, especially football, so by going to high school I can continue where I left off. Being a student with right mind set, transitioning to high school won’t be I hard, but I know I will have new challenges I have to overcome and long lasting experiences which will get me ready for life.
Time flies so fast. Looking back, my high school is just like a movie, a lot of things happened. High School is four years of growing up and probably a time in your life where you go through the most changes. In high school you are able to discover yourself and find out who you are as a person. Each year is special and unique in their own way. My journey through high school was a tough one, especially because I decided to not only focus on academic work but also to invest quality time in extra curriculum activities.
