Activity (10 minutes): Gossip Writer will begin by telling a secret to the group, other members will share the secret until it gets back to the Writer. The secret will be shared out loud, in order to see if the original secret was accurately passed around the room. The point of this activity is for the girls to learn not to share too much personal information with others, because it turns into gossip that may be inaccurate. Session 6: Love Path Attachment Theory activity (20 minutes) There are statements written on the board. Each student will be blind folded. One, bye one, each student will have a chance to take off blindfold and put a check next to the statements that are true for them. There will also be a spot to add a statement about something that is positive or negative, which will give other members to put a check next to it, if it applies to them. It is important for these minors to understand that the things that they have experienced in their earlier days, could cause them to behave the way that they do today. Bowlby’s attachment theory explains how and why early relationships contribute to psychological wellbeing. Bowlby believes that infants who have easy access to a care giver can form a healthy, secure relation while exploring their environment (Egelnad, 2014). Children who do not form this secure base may tend to grow up looking for love in all of the wrong places. Unintentional pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases can come from two teenagers searching for the sense of security that they missed as an infant.
