ATF Special Agents make sure that everyone is safe and that we are not exposed to illegal or dangerous substances, firearms, or explosives. ATF stands for The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. This paper will lay out the requirements, salary, demand, advancement, and related careers.
In order to become an ATF Special Agent, you need to have either a bachelor’s degree in any field or an equal amount of related experience in criminal investigation or law enforcement. You also have to be a U.S. citizen and have a valid driver’s license. You have to take the Special Agent Exam. This test is broken up into three parts. These parts are verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and investigative reasoning. In verbal reasoning, you have to answer questions based on the information given only. There are many ways to advance as an ATF Special Agent. You could begin as an intern and then make your way to becoming an ATF Special Agent. You could then move up the pay grades for Special Agents and make more money. Then, you could be the Special Agent in Charge of the Field Office that you work at. Then, you could become the Special Agent in Charge at the ATF Headquarters. You could then become the Deputy Director. Finally, you could reach the top title of
