"You go to schools where Syrian refugees are and you see that their drawings are mostly of houses being bombed, or people being killed or bodies on ground," "This trauma by violence is the biggest threat for the future of Syria,” says Guterres. "Girls are driven to prostitution by their own families. It’s a tragedy," (Aljazeera). The Syrian civil war was started by the lack of responsibility Assad and the Syrian Government had for their people. Assad wasn’t to be ruler at all though. Assad doesn’t understand the true human emotion that the Syrian people feel. His ruling has only increased the civil war and hatred between the two groups of people, those rebelling and the leaders of Syria, and Enlarged Syria’s crisis. The people of Syria have rights just like every other human on this earth. Therefore the government should take care of his people instead of his position of power.
Assad wasn’t destined to be the ruler of Syria. He never was interested in entering politics (biography.com). And he didn’t need to. His older brother, Bassel, was being groomed by his father to enter politics and take his father’s place as president. Assad had been living the life of a medic. His interests in medicine led him to graduate as an ophthalmologist at the University of Damascus (biography.com). The becoming of a doctor gave him the opportunity to work at Tishreen military hospital helping the wounded soldiers. In 1992, his career as a Doctor led him to London at Western Eye Hospital where he continued his studies. He was leading a wonderful life as a Doctor and his brother as the future president but that all changed (biography.com). In 1994 his brother was killed in a car accident. Assad’s life as a medic was over. Hafez planned to have Assad...

The initiation of the Syrian War was heavily influenced by the (what was supposed to be a peaceful) protest. As well as the many deaths of the Syrian citizens. These conflicts helped citizens realize all the issues that were going on at the time. There were many causes for the violence that went on during the Syrian Civil War. It can be inferred that the three main aspects that fueled the violence of the Syrian War were due to foreign influence, sectarian opposition, and conflicts between opposing groups.

The war in Syria has been going on for six years now, killing more than a quarter million people and forcing over 10 million people to leave their homes. It has started with a peaceful protest and is now a full on genocide of people dying. The protest was for the arrest and torturing of Syrian teens for the graffiti of their anti government on a wall. When people form other people that were tired of the government saw this, they wanted their president to make major reforms of their democracy. He didn't like that, so he responded with a violent reaction. He killed thousands of Syrians and more from starvation. As the war went on, more people came in to play a role in the war. These people were from many different places. It has gotten so bad that politicians don't know what to do to stop it.
The Syrian Crisis began almost three years ago. Since then, the killings, the bombings and the fleeing haven’t stopped. Obama’s administration was blamed for letting the Assad regime, which is an Alawite minority, tyrannize its Sunni people who are a majority, for all this time, and for allowing the radical jihadist power, a part of the opposition, to benefit from the uprising.
Since Syria has such a young population they are exposed to new ideas and they aren’t afraid to stand up for change. In March 2011, there were protests against the government and al-Assad. While protesting a group of teens painted revolutionary slogans on a school wall, and they were soon imprisoned. This enraged the rest of the Syrian population because the group of teens were being tortured by the government. Once the government released them there was more protesting. The police shot and killed a 4 protesters. While at th...
The country of Syria just hit it’s fifth year on war. Many people are out of jobs or short on education. Lots of people have fled trying to find a better place to live. While others took the dangerous route by staying and trying to make the best of life.
An attack on the Syrian state would fall within the boundaries of the international concept of the responsibility to protect. The crisis in Syria has escalated by protests in March 2011 calling for the release of all political prisoners. National security forces responded to widespread peaceful demonstrations with the use of brutal violence. The Syrian President Bashar al-Assad refused to stop attacks and allow for implementation of the reforms requested by the demonstrators. By July 2011, firsthand accounts emerged from witnesses, victims, and the media that government forces had subjected innocent civilians to detention, torture, and the use of heavy weaponry. The Syrian people were also subjected to the Shabiha, a largely armed state sponsored militia fighting with security forces. Al-Assad continually denied responsibility to these crimes and placed blame on the armed groups and terrorists for these actions.
The positive thing out of this is that Syria now has more room for Syrians with the Palestinians retreating back out of Syria although it came with a big price with the death of 200,000 people which is easily the negative cause out of his conflict. Because of the three million people that have fled Syria, other countries including Lebanon, Jordan, and Turkey, have had a hard time dealing with border control and people rushing into their country. Although three million is a lot of people, it is assumed that close to 6.5 million people are displaced within Syria bringing the total number to 9.5 million people, half of Syria’s population. The UN stepped in in December 2013 and provided about 6.5 billion dollars towards medical care, food, water, shelter, education, and health services. Many deaths have been caused because of chemical weapons in August of 2013 close to the city of Damascus. After this incident, President Bashar al-Assad agreed to a deal with the UN and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons(OPCW) to remove or destroy Syria’s chemical weapons
I believe that the Syrian government and the rebels are the most responsible for the civil war. The government was very controlling and may have pushed their people off the edge. The Syrian government killed people in a riot of and the rebels decided to do something. The rebels are also responsible because they started a war with the government, making things much worse for the people who lived there. There are also a few reasons that are not the fault of people that helped create the war. ISIS and other outside groups are responsible for making the war worse, but not responsible for starting it.
To be a spectator of any sporting event one must understand the rules that the players and officials use to govern the game. Without this knowledge it can become an immense challenge to understand if things are going well or poorly for your team or player. An excellent example would be if watching a golf tournament and you have no idea that the low score wins. The worst player in the tournament might end up looking like the winner, and that could not be any further from the truth. Understanding world politics can be very much like watching a sporting event you have no idea of what the rules are. The United Nations (U.N.) has rules that its member states should follow, but they are in many cases treated more like a guideline, such as the American invasion of Iraq. So how can the global citizenry understand why some global leaders choose one course of action over another, especially if there are no set rules with guaranteed results for each action, like a touchdown results in six points? For the global citizenry, the best way to understand global politics is to look to the theories that the global leadership subscribe to. And the only way to determine which theory they subscribe to short of asking each leader directly is to analyze their actions. The realist philosophy will be the theory that best explains the actions of global leaders and therefore will become the rule book to look to when understanding global politics.

As a new nation, guidelines need to be set as to what is right and what is wrong. The rights listed below will be granted to every person in Syria no matter where they reside. No exceptions should be made when enforcing these rights. First, everyone is born equal to one another. Everyone will be treated equal no matter race, religion, gender, etc. Second, the people have the right to their government’s protection. Our government will not put their people in the path of danger unless it is essential to do so for their protection. Third, every person has the right to safety. No one can torture, abuse, or physically or emotionally harm us in any way. Fourth, we have the right to freedom. No person or group can enslave a person. Every person can leave our country at any time. Fifth, all people are protected by a just law. A just law treats all people equally and gives everyone the right to a public trial with a jury that has not been swayed in any way towards choosing an opinion. A just law states every person is innocent till proven guilty and no person can be detained sent away from our country without good reason. A just law protects
The Syrian government has been a model of nondemocracy in its antipaticipatory practices, suppression of the Kurds and opposition, lack of free elections and overall authoritarian rule. The series of protests that characterize the 2011 Syrian uprising illustrate the gravity of a people’s dissatisfaction with its own government. This dissatisfaction in Syria is only a small part of a larger movement to bring equality to the Middle East, known as the Arab Spring. The Arab Spring consists of similar uprisings in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and many other Arabic countries. Though there are currently more countries classified as nondemocratic than democratic, productive uprisings like the one in Syria may be an indication that this trend is shifting.
Al-assad is not taking the blame for the refugee crisis and is constantly putting the blame on other as well as other nations. However, part of the uprising and the spring of terrorist organisations including ISIS is owing to the fact that the Al-assad family will not give up their leadership positions regardless the state of which their countries are
