What is Asperger’s? To sum it up with a sentence, “Asperger syndrome is often considered a high functioning form of autism. It can lead to difficulty interacting socially, repeat behaviors, and clumsiness.” –google.com People who have Asperger’s Syndrome often have trouble with people socially. It is a behavior that was once considered and misdiagnosed as a form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. However was later found to be related to Autism.
For people with Asperger’s, one of the more noticeable Symptoms of the syndrome is the social side. One person described how he had to rehearse greeting people and interacting with them at business meetings, because he would just cut to the chase. It wasn’t that he didn’t care about the people he met, it was just because he was very task orientated.
Asperger’s was discovered to be a unique in 1944, by an Austrian doctor. The syndrome was then named after Dr. Hans Asperger, but, like most discoveries, his discovery was not recognized as a unique disorder until a long time after his initial announcement. However, since it has been recognized, we have diagnosed more patients and been able to treat them appropriately.
Asperger’s has become variant in its frequency, only recently been recognized, Asperger’s could happen to 1 in 200, to even 1 in over 10,000 people. It is also 4 times as frequent in boys then in girls, and researchers claim that it tends to run through different families, meaning that the gene is most likely inherited, although there is no known cause for the disorder.
Symptoms of Asperger’s are usually very simple to identify, though they tend to differentiate from different ages. During Childhood, the symptoms of this syndrome tend to be a sort of self-oriented behavior. A...

...is obviously a real and unique form of autism. Not just an excuse for being lazy or unsocial. Even though we have no idea what causes it. Scientists and Doctors know that it is a genetic case, where it is passed down from generation to generation. So we are beginning to understand at least the person will get. Hopefully, when we find the source of how these types of illnesses happen, we will begin to understand and eventually know how to cure it.
