Even if you employ yourself, you still need to consider what it would take to fulfill Maslow's chart of needs. Think of a future job that you would like to have. Consider what that job would need to offer to help you be successful. Write a brief description of the job and why you think you’d be good in that role. I’d enjoy being a bar tender. A bar tender mixes drinks and serves them at establishments that serve food and alcohol. I think it would be fun to be a bar tender because no formal education is needed to be one, so I could do it in college or as a first job if I cannot find one when I finish college (assuming I go to college). Describe 2 examples of each of the following needs: Safety needs: I think in terms of safety needs, being a bartender would mean I would be employed which is a part of safety needs and it would provide me with an acceptable income which means I would be financially stable. The income I receive can go towards physical belongings, such as a house or food which provide me with physical safety and security. Belonging needs: By being self sufficient human that can provide for myself, my relationship with my family and friends will most likely remain the same, because people often loose their friend and family relations when they become too reliant on them. So by not asking and constantly needing help from others, there will be mutual respect and a healthy relationship between my family, friends, and me.
