Throughout time different forms of art had conveyed various meanings to many people. Whereas some people like to feel and create art in all of its forms for just admiration and/or inner enjoyment, some others separate themselves by focusing on finding or constructing a meaning that the own author or creator intended to communicate and disperse to society. Nevertheless, one thing that brings these very different types of people together, making them share one same idea, is that art is a very important aspect of our everyday life and that it should be exercised for the benefit and achievement of the full human potential. This event made me recollect how art actually helped me improved some of my skills. The event took place at a local convention in the city of Salinas, in a place called, Current Comics, where people were able to display and exposed many of their different types of graphic novel, and sometimes even sell them. The exposition like I mentioned had many graphic novels inside small glass boxes in which the illustrations grabbed the spotlight by drawing the crowds into admiring them. Usually, a good definition of what a graphic novel is, is a bundle of books featuring sequential art. Some of the types of graphic novels presented at the exposition range from novellas, collections of comic strips (typically around a central theme or storyline), collections of serialized comic books around a single story-arc, collections of short stories or vignettes, and compiled anthologies featuring the work of multiple authors.
